VERY helpful, knowledgeable staff. Location was a ways outside of Venice but still accessible if you don't mind using public transportation and your feet, I would not go in and out of downtown more than once a day though, it just took too long. Not the best place to meet people because it is kind of designed for big groups so most people already know each other. Ear plugs are a MUST if you are in the tents, but they are pretty good at enforcing the quiet hours so I still slept great.
The patio outside was really nice and they had plenty of places to hang laundry outside. And the lounge upstairs was handy, plenty Of places to to socialize and have fun. It was sensible that they close the facility between 10 and 2 because all the guests are probably at Cinque Terre, or at least not in Biassa, but if they claim it's to clean the rooms, they should at least clean the rooms a bit. Empty the trash, sweep, that kind of thing. Overall the hostel was great though!
Loved this hostel! There was a really great dinner and breakfast buffet available, excellent food and great deal! Nice patio area for sitting outside, not a party hostel but still really fun. It was a little outside of downtown Florence but was only about a 20 minute walk maximum from the Duomo. We got upgraded to a private triple for the same price which was exciting, they even came in and cleaned our room for us!
Excellent place, its a walk into town but there was plenty of warning about that. And it was easy to find the way to town, we didn't even need a map. Very close to the airport. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. It would have been nice to have a few more toilets for those times when you really have to go but people are showering. Staff was friendly and helpful!
Very welcoming, spotlessly clean! I even showered without flip flops on! Nice to have sheets put on the bed freshly after you arrive. And I loved the board where they posted about what was happening in Olomouc in the next few days, there was always stuff to do. The town is AWESOME, so nice to get away fro the crowds of tourists!
Considering the guests staying here the facilities were clean and nice. But they did not enforce their stated quiet hours (7-10) in the slightest and it made those of us that actually wanted to sleep at night and explore the city during The day fairly miserable. It is possible to still have a fun, party friendly atmosphere without allowing people to scream and shout in the hallways at 3am. With that said, it was cheap and there was a free breakfast. I was just glad I had earplugs.
