This hostel has a lot of atmosphere and everyone there is open to meeting new people! The location is excellent (close to both the city centre and Kazimierz, supermarket around the corner), they have a great garden and organise activities every day of the week.
This hostel is clean and cheap, with a nice garden and kitchen. However, when we first arrived, there was a homeless man in our room who smelled very bad. After the receptionist smelled it herself, we were offered a private room (the only room they had left) for one night - and promised this would not happen again. The last night of our stay, we came back into our room and the same man (and smell) was there again! This time, we had to pay extra for another room, which we did not think was fair.
The hostel is very clean and the location is perfect! Unfortunately, there's not much of an atmosphere and the hostel lacks a kitchen. Great if you're looking for a cheap hostel in Gdansk, but it's not a great hostel if you want to meet other travellers.
This hostel is located right in the center of Sultanahmet. The rooms are okay, we did have airconditioning (didn't work that well) but the room had no window. The atmosphere is okay, but this hostel isn't a great place to meet people. The breakfast, which is included, is wonderful.
We had a great time at Hikers Hostel! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was excellent for meeting people. In addition to this, the breakfast was amazing (when we arrived at breakfast late, they even made a new fresh fruit salad for us)! The only downside is the bathroom: the toilets were not cleaned very often and there is a weird kınd of sink-shower (not too bad though).
On arrival, the staff was very friendly and immediately gave us a lot of useful information about Budapest. The hostel is located near a great ruin bar where a lot of backpackers meet at night, and there are some great, cheap restaurants nearby.
