Probably made the mistake of visiting at he beginning of low season when most of the clubs start shutting down, however other than the really grumpy guy at reception, we really enjoyed our stay here as our 3 bed private room came with ensuite and was really nice, spacious, clean and had really comfy beds! It's right near a mini market and bus station, though everything is a little more expensive than other islands. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Far Out Beach Club

Best hostel I've ever stayed at! It's definitely more like a luxury resort than a hostel/campground. The pool and restaurant area is amazing and although we stayed there just after high season, there were a lot of tour groups still staying there so the atmosphere was still very lively. Our bungalow was small, but cheap and had all the facilities we needed. Ios is so much fun for partying too. Just ask the staff where to go or follow the busabout crowd and they'll lead you to all the bars!

Youth Hostel Anna

This place was awesome. Such good value for money. We stayed in a 10 bed mixed dorm. The room had a locker per person, air conditioning, wifi and linen all included and we paid €5 a night! It is 5 minutes walk to persissa beach and only a short bus ride to Fira. The bus is extremely easy to catch around the island as the bus stop is right outside the hostel. One thing to mention would be the pool which is only available for guests in private rooms but it didn't bother us as we had the beach :)

Nice clean hotel in Athens, with helpful staff who direct you wherever you need to go. Breakfast included too. Would definitely stay here again.

This place was fine for one night to see all the tourist attractions. It's very close to the colloseum and the forum, and a nice walk to the Vatican if you include a few other sights along the way. The place itself however was really dark and dingy... And we weren't even given a key, that's how open it is. No security at all! All doors are left wide open, including the door to the building and the rooms! Dorms were tiny and a bit claustrophobic too... Wouldn't reccomend for long stays.

Luka's Lodge

Hvar, Croatia
100%

Best hostel we've been to on our 5 month trip! Felt more like a hotel/apartment than a hostel. We had booked a twin room for three nights, and walked into our own spacious apartment complete with kitchenette (fridge, stove, cutlery, kettle, etc) and our own ensuite bathroom!! It was amazing to have a room like that after travelling for so long. Everything was clean, close to everything and there is wifi in main building. Luka and his staff are great and incredibly friendly!

Nice place but a huge hike to get to! We struggled with backpacks and we are two fit 19 year olds... Would not be easy to get to by foot with suitcases due to all the stairs. Make sure you take the bus or a taxi from the port or bus station! Otherwise this was a perfect place to stay and it had an amazing view from the balcony! Would recommend it to anyone looking for cheap, reliable accom for a short stay in Dubrovnik.

CroParadise Green Hostel

Nothing like the pictures on hostel world! Despite this it was an ok hostel, probably not worth what we paid as we had requested a double bed room and instead we got a room with two twin beds pushed together... So not exactly what we had paid for. We did however like that we shared a common room/kitchen with just two other rooms which made meal times much less crowded than other places we have been. Location couldn't be better though so no complaints there.

Urbany Hostel BCN GO!

This was our second stay at Urbany Hostel BCN GO, that's how much we love it! It's a great hostel, with fantastic security, clean and modern dorm rooms and great social area. The only thing is that the kitchen area is quite small for the number of people wanting to use it some nights. The jacuzzi on the roof is definitely an attraction too!

INOUT Hostel

If you are wanting to see the sights and be in the centre of busy Barcelona then this is not the place for you. This is however a lovely hostel with amazing views and a really peaceful atmosphere. It's an amazingly clean hostel with beautiful, friendly staff who do whatever they can to help you. I would definitely recommend staying here if you don't mind being out of town. Metro is easy to catch. Ten mins walk to the station then about 15 mins on the train.

Staff were not very approachable and the hostel was not in a very central location. Took us about 30 min to walk to the beach. Easy to get to everything by metro though. Nice clean rooms and lockers for valuables. Suited our needs for a few nights anyway.

Best hostel we've ever stayed at! We were in a 16 bed dorm but had our own lockers to store our valuables in, and plenty of space to pack upon our departure. Very modern and was really nice having ensuite bathrooms in our room.

Perfect for what we needed. Twin room was great and very spacious. Not far from the festivities of the Fringe Festival nor from the castle. Kitchen facilities lacking a few basic utensils tho but otherwise very nice place in a perfect location.

Paddy's Palace Dublin

We stayed in a 6 bed dorm after finishing one of the tours. The room was ok for one night but the bathrooms were dirty, there was no where to lock away our valuables whilst we were out and the kitchen facilities were not big enough to cater for the amount of people staying in the hostel. Would not recommend staying more than one night here.
