Aoi Garden Home

Very nice atmosphere. Beautiful yard with lots of plants and tables and chairs to chill out. The owner Aoi is extremely welcoming and friendly, always there to help you if need something. Our private twin room with aircon was really nice. The mattrasses were laying on the ground, so that we could easily put them together as we are a couple. It was very clean and we got towels. You can get drinks all day long and Western breakfast in the morning. Quiet street, but close to temples and city center

Rather a bar with rooms to rent than a hostel, but really relaxed athmosphere and cool style. The staff was very frendly!! Our room didn't have a window and therefore it was quite stuffy, and the mattrass was VERY hard (though after getting used to it it was quite good to sleep on) but it was clean. For the price it is a really good value! Quite street, but just 5-10 min. to shops abd nightmarket. They organised us a taxi to the airport for 300 Baht

Chill Out House

Koh Lanta, Thailand

Tree house with a lot of character! The owners Marilyn, Jessy and Arm were friendly and helpful. Nice, chilled athmosphere. The rooms and facilities are very basic, but if you like living half outside like the thai neighbours do it's cool. Reasonable prices for drink, and if you like you can get Western breakfast for 70-90 baht. Good thai restaurants about 3 minutes away. Close to the beach, but unfortunately in the low season there is nothing going on and the sea is quite rough.

Pineapple Guesthouse

Phuket, Thailand

Guesthouse with really friendly stuff. Our private double room was really good (with TV, fridge, safe, balcony...). Pick-up from the airport was 750 Baht and they rent motorbikes for 200 baht per day. Quite a few restaurants around. Beach is 5-10 ,minutes walk, but as we were there in the monsoon season the sea was pretty rough and it was too dangerous to swim, but still quite pretty.
