Unfortunately we were in room 509 which had the ducting and fan from the next doors restaurant by the window. This was very noisy, even with window shut . The fan was switched off after 11.00pm and on again at 6.30. Not a great nights sleep. Room was very hot, despite it being cool outside. No AC.

A very warm welcome from Anne the owner and great bedroom and breakfast. Rural setting so a drive to the nearest town. We booked for 2 nights but had to cancel one night, with plenty of notice. We paid over 19 GBP for the deposit and was due to pay 109 for 2 nights on arrival. The owner asks for 65 GBP claiming she would not get any of the deposit, which meant we ended up paying nearly 85 GBP for one night. NOT GOOD!

A great welcome from the owner and clean and tidy room, with en suite. Hostel is excellent for it's purpose but could do with more large signage asking people to be considerate of other guests. We were kept awake by late night arrivals from the local pub. Besides this we would recommend the hostel, especially the large kitchen and dining facility.

Very friendly staff, very clean room but the hotel is tired and could do with a lick of paint and a freshen up.

Friendly helpful host who spoke excellent English. Room rustic and sun terrace relaxing. Big problem was that we did not get confirmation email and directions, so Sat Nav took us on a magical mystery tour of the hillsides. Easy to reach by car really just head for Gavi and you will pass it on the right. Great location between in the countryside, forget Genoa and explore Gavi(35 minutes away), with outdoor swimming pool and other quaint towns. Also near to walking trails, who needs the city???

Excellent helpful staff. The number 40 bus is a great bonus to the YHA and allows for visits into Genoa. Rooms were clean and also no hassles in the shared bathrooms, although they could use notices to advice people to clean up after themselves. The facility to make a hot drink was useful. I recommend tables outside to improve the area. Great views of Genoa.
