Seven Hostel, Sorrento, Italy

I loved this hostel! It really feels more like a resort/hotel - the building itself is lovely, and the roof is unreal. The rooms are amazing with air conditioning and everything you could possibly need. I LOVED the location of the place (not in a super touristy area, 5 mins walk to an insanely beautiful cliff-side beach) and it is really easy to Sorrento, Capri, etc. Breakfast A+. I could have lived there! Amazing value for price.

This hostel was okay, but I was a bit disappointed based on the pictures and description. This hostel has little-to-no ambiance (the rooms are very barebones) and the breakfast is nothing fantastic. I payed extra for this hostel thinking it would be a little more comfortable, but I probably could have gone with a cheaper option. I also got kind of weird vibes from the staff - they didn't seem too eager to help, more like they were just hanging out and didn't want to be disturbed by guests.

Hostel Gallo d'Oro, Florence, Italy

This is a great hostel! The location is perfect (easy walking distance from the train station and to everything else in Florence) and the rooms are spacious and cozy - definitely worth the price. The staff was super friendly and was always around to answer questions. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
