Juan is a really funny guy. We had a good time at this hostel.
There is something going on every night. The hang-out-area is nice and there are a bar and a tabletennis. But there is also loud music until midnight. The 8-bed-room was big but a little cold. And in the 3rd floor there are no showers. The staff is really nice and helpful! The breakfast was good but only until 10am (which is early as the parties in Buenos Aires start at 2am). The wifi only worked in the common area.
The breakfast was great. Gaucho (the owner) is very helpful and organized and speaks portugues., english and german. In the hostel there were a lot of clean hammocks to chill (you can also buy some there). And there is a nice place to hang out. The 8-bed-room was a bit small. And as the sun was shining inside the room you woke up early. The toilet was outside the room and the flush sometimes didn't work. But all in all i recommend this hostel!
The hostel is near to the beach and has a pool. There are some bars and restaurants nearby (~3 blocks away), but the part of the street in front of the hostel was empty and therefore a bit scary at night. Fabio, the owner of the hostel, was very helpful and kind but seemed a bit exhausted from working all day. The bathrooms are very clean, but there are only 2 bathrooms for about 5 rooms. It was hard to get in contact with other travellers, because there was missing a nice hang-out-area.
