Paul absolutely makes this place. Forget bigfoot or any other hostel, this is the place to stay in Leon. Great bar area, pumping sound system and great activities like volcano boarding, beach trips and bar crawls. Strong wifi and good location. Just tell the old lady that cleans needs to stop drinking the haterade.

Stayed for 7 nights. Nice spacious dorm with double bed was a nice treat to the single bunks I have had during the majority of my trip. Plenty of space throughout the hostal, friendly staff and good location. Small kitchen is basic but enough to keep you going. My only criticism was that it lacked quite alot in regards to atmosphere with most guest keeping to themselves and mostly glued to their devices on the internet. Not really the fault of the hostal but a few activities run the by the staff

The staff are what make this hostel so great. I got some great advice from Tom on where to eat and what to see, but Gema is the real asset to this place. She is such a beautiful person, so caring and so helpful - I am so glad I met her.

The guy that checked me in had a big hangover and could hardly talk. He explained nothing and my bed wasn't even made. He kept complaining about how many check ins he did during the day and the lack of staff. My bed was not even made. The bathrooms were disgusting and hot water was non-existent. The activities are good if you are looking for a party, but if you want a comfortable sleep with basic amenities I would seriously consider one of the other Lisbon hostels which are genuinely the best .

Tattva Design Hostel

Perfectly acceptable hostel with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, good size common area and good location. Staff were okay but didnt exactly go out of their way to help out. Atmosphere was a little quiet, more activities would help with lifting the vibe. dorms were a little cramped as per other reviews but certainly no a showstopper. Hostels in Portugal are the best in the world from what I have seen, would be good to see some of the other highly rated hostels in Porto.

Had a great stay at Olga's place. Like many other reviews, it really feels like you are staying at a friends or family's place. There is always something going on whether it be a pub or pintxo crawl or even Raffa's home cooked paella. Only thing I could fault was only 2 bathrooms and never really had a hot shower. would stay again for sure though.

Get what you pay for... bed and place to sleep. Bathrooms were really dirty and hot water was more warm than hot. Got woken by really inconsiderate people regularly, Im not racist but I dont understand why asian travellers wake up so early and constantly scrunch plastic bags for hours whilst packing. Only recommend for short stay in Berlin.

The main thing going for this room is location to old town which is about 10 min walk. This is a very basic small bedroom with an ensuite toilet and bathroom next door. The wifi didnt work very well and i could only use it outside. there is no refrigerator or any cooking facilities at all. The host has basic english and dont expect much in the way of tourism info and guidance. basically its just a place to sleep.

The staff are this hostels biggest asset, in particular Nicola who is an amazing host. The evening activities are fun, especially the Rakija nights. They will go out of their way to assist you with whatever help you need. My only gripe was the wifi not working in my room (room 6) try to avoid the higher levels as the wifi doesnt really reach there. would definitely stay again.

staff were really friendly and helpful. hostel is also very close to central train station which is great if you have an early train like I did. wifi was good and cable tv in hostel was a nice addition. main issue was the single bathroom for the whole hostel which at times had to wait 30 mins to have a shower.

Excellent hostel, cannot fault in anyway. Brand new with excellent facilities, next door to Blaha metro and not far from all the best bars including Szimpla Ruin Pub. What makes this hostel so amazing are the staff, in particular Charlotte and Vincent who really go out of their way to make you feel at home. I have never seen staff constantly cleaning a hostel they way they do as well. If you are looking for a quiet and clean place - stay here.

If you want to party hard and stay right in tourist central then this is definitely your hostel. Personally, I would not stay in this area again, Jordaan would be far better. breakfast was okay, beds are comfortable but bathrooms were not desirable. very expensive as well.

Hey David, very true, the Jordaan is a beautiful area of the city, albiet a little further away from the heart of all the action. You should know we check our rooms and bathrooms daily but we've sent our maintenance boys to double check anyway. Safe travels

There was ZERO atmosphere in this hostel. In 5 days I literally did not speak to anyone. I saw mice several times in the kitchen/common area and the rooms were cramped and hot. I decided to leave this hostel earlier than expected and went to St Christopher Gare Du Nord which was miles better and saved my Paris trip from extinction.

The New York Loft Hostel

New York, USA

Located in Bushwick Brooklyn, this is an awesome spot. very close to the metro L train and easy to get to both Bedford (10 mins) and Manhattan (20 mins). Dorms have either 2-3 beds which is a plus and there is a great social area which makes for a cool atmosphere if a good crowd is around. The only negative is the booking system which means you often have to check in and out several times if you have a lengthy stay. Would definitely stay again.
