Over all fairly good - location is easy to get to from both the downtown and the train station. Area seemed a little grungy but not too bad. One complaint was the air conditioning - it didn't work at all and it was unbelievably, ridiculously sweltering. We hardly slept at all. Also difficult that there's only one bathroom for a six person dorm, people were tied up in the showers for ages when you just wanted to brush your teeth and go to bed.

Loved our stay here! Such a nice change from hostels being run by huge groups of people - the couple running this were truly fantastic and took pride in their work. So nice to stay here, felt like you were staying with relatives. Very close to the train station and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Clean, safe, and very enjoyable.

Ostello Dante

Staff was great here, very helpful and friendly. Let us use bicycles free of charge, which I highly recommend. A bit wobbly, but a wonderful way to see Ravenna. Nice and quiet, we had a five person dorm booked but we were the only two in there. Breakfast was basic but good. Nice hostel! Very clean and well organized.

Nice stay here. Price for the vaporetto is rather expensive - kind of offsets the cost savings of staying here, but it was good never the less. Definitely purchase a pass valid for the extent of your stay in venice - it will certainly save you money. It's quite a large hostel so our experience with the staff was very average, no chatting or looking over maps of the city with them like you get at smaller hostels. Breakfast was well worth the 3.50 - fresh cheese, breads, juices and coffee.

Had a very nice stay here. Owner was very accommodating. We accidentally booked for three instead of two and he was kind enough to not charge us for our mistake even though he probably lost business for the night. He also drove us to the park which was wonderful. Hostel is of course outside the immediate area of Plitvice - but not a far walk. Just be prepared for it. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Hobo Bear Hostel

Hobo Bear was amazing! Hostel is in a perfect location, easy walking distance to everything you want to see. Safe, clean, great relaxing atmosphere. It's best feature though was by far it's staff. I've never had staff go so far out of their way to make life easier for me. Mischa even called our following hostel to help us with a booking issue. Just entirely fantastic. Definitely recommend this place, best hostel of our trip.

Very clean and friendly staff. A little outside the city centre, but not difficult whatsoever to use the metro, each ride 1.80€. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great - fresh Gouda cheese was amazing. Felt really safe and cozy here, would definitely stay here again if I come back to amsterdam.

Riva Hostel Pula

Good location, lots of space within the hostel to relax and easily accessible to all the sights. Bathroom was in serious need of repair - shower head had to be held by hand the entire time since it was so badly crooked and broken off the wall. "Quiet hours" were not enforced, had lots of very loud people in the kitchen long after many wanted to be asleep.
