Hotel Briand

Great staff, very helpful with everything, they let us print boarding passes on their reception computer. Breakfast is really good, all you can eat cereal, croissant, juice, coffee, yogurt, baguette... Hotel is not in the center, you have to take a train (one block from the hotel) to get everywhere you want. But public transport is nice, train passes every couples of minutes. There's laudr-o-mat 2 minutes walk from the hotel. We needed to wash our clothes (backpackers) :)

We didnt stay for long, we checked in, chilled in the common room, which has board games, chess, movies, books. The terrace is nice. Bring ear plugs because the street is often busy at nights! We went to a show, came back to the hostel at midnight and checked out at 5 o'clock next morning because we had an early train to catch. So it was pretty much just a bed to crash in and it was nice :)

Malone's Old Town Hostel

Edinburgh, Scotland

Nice staff, explaining everything about the town, things to see, restaurants to go! Irish bar just downstairs so bring earplugs because it gets noisy, but very friendly! Bathrooms were nice, one for boys and one for girls, with 2-3 showers per bathroom, 2-3 toilets... Dont expect too much of the free breakfast, its basically cereal and coffee. We often had to ring to get someone to the reception, but they were always more than happy to help. We really liked Edinburgh! :)

Great hostel, awesome staff, hostel is locked all the time but you can get it whenever with your room key. One of the best hostel we've been in. Great tips from the girl at the desk (qui ├ętait vraiment super!) for places to go, restaurants to try... Clean, too. We were in a 6 bed dorm, there's a sink in the room. Bathroom is okay, with 2 showers and 2 toilets shared by everyone on the floor.

Affittacamere Patrizia

Cinque Terre, Italy

We booked a dorm but after reading a review about how the dorms didnt have lockers, we asked for an upgrade and got a room for ourselves. Riomaggiore is built on a ''cliff'' so you have to walk up a bit to get to the office. Our room was even higher in the mountain, so more climbing but the view was worth it! The room had AC and it was nice to get a little air because it was hot as hell in mid-August in Italy. Prices are higher in the Cinque Terre so expect to pay a little more.

Mainstation Hostel

Fussen, Germany

Minus: We went in mid-August and it was really hot in the room. Wifi is only available in the common room. Plus: Nice staff, close to the train station and in the town center so everything is at 5-10min walk. Close to the Castles. The room was nice, clean, towels were in the room.
