A good experience overall - staff were helpful in the main, and location couldn't be better. It is a large hostel and not everyone staying is there on holiday, which possibly detracts from the atmosphere in the common area.

You really can't argue for £20 a night. The owner is very nice and helpful and the place has a certain charm even if it's not as spruced up as some other places. Regular buses get you to town quickly. Thank you, would stay again.

I left a bag with some of my stuff in the hostel when I left about 5 weeks ago. I was supposed to pick it up later but didn't make it. If I pay for the postage through paypal/cheque could you possibly post it to my home address in London? I contacted the hostel through facebook previously but it looks like that account is no longer in use. Sorry to have to do this in the reviews section! If you can e-mail me at nathan.graff@hotmail.com to sort out this issue it would be much appreciated! Thanks

Although the staff were great I found the whole experience quite impersonal - Its a big hostel with many floors and even though there was a party on while I was there I found it lacked a bit of atmosphere owing to its size and layout so a bit of a let-down for a solo traveller. Perfect location though.

Staff were an absolute joy while I was there, which is important because its quite an isolated place. The hostel is very cosy and the surrounding area beautiful. Tip: Make sure you have cash with you because nearest cashpoint was out of service and next one was a 45 min walk... A nice rest between cities. Cheers guys x

Generally very good hostel - staff very friendly, fun, helpful. . Two slightly negative aspects: When I moved rooms a locker key was given to new guest before I had chance to check I had all my stuff. Not sure if staff check, but it wasn't nice to come back and find the locker open! Other thing is that for those not looking to get smashed every night, the hostel is v quiet once the bar crawl has left. Having said that I did meet people - was particularly impressed with bathrooms and location!Thx
