Amistat Beach Hostel

Barcelona, Spain
69%

Wifi did not work very well. Staff were almost too strict.... They had a secruity guard who stood on the street and shushed anyone having a casual conversation after 10 (even though the Spanish locals were being very loud). Also definatly not a party hostel and very far from city centre. But very close to the beach.

Hello there! I'm sorry you felt like this. We need to keep this area as quite as posible cause we need to respect the neighbours at night. In Amistat we encourage people to met each other, that's what Amistat means: "friendship" and that's what we want to give our guests. We also have night tours to enjoy the parties in Barcelona. Sorry if you haven't feel it like this.

Wifi worked well. The bar was a little lacking in action but the pubcrawls were good. Very clean.

They didn't give very many directions and also the location was very far from the beach and city centre. But the rooms were nice and very clean. Also only one of the staff spoke a bit of English.

The hostel was nice but the showers were not good as you had to keep pressing the button. Also the wifi did not work in all the rooms. But it was in a central location

Poppy was amazing and so adorable! Gave us two rooms even though we only paid for one. Wifi worked well. Only downside was having to take the bus to get to most major sites. But other than that amazing!

Very cheap for how beautiful the hotel was! The pool was amazing and the hotel was right by the water. Even got a welcome drink. I'd definatly recommend renting an ATV though to get to town as the hotel is a little far from town.

The wifi was terrible and barely worked anywhere. One staff member was great while some of the others were terrible and treated us like children. The bar was never open. Great location though.

This hostel gives you a lot more than most hostels. The wifi worked well and the location is good (within walking distance of train station). Also they organize adventure trips through the hostel. I did skydiving and cayoning.

The wifi did not work very well but the rooms were clean. Since it is a bigger hostel it doesn't have a family feel.... so its a bit harder to meet people when travelling alone. But the wombar was very nice.

The staff were amazing and they took you out every night! Loved that they had the tv room where you could relax and chill and had the option of a family dinner. Also the wifi worked great! Only downside I would have is that there was only one shower for 12 people. But other than that AMAZING.

Was not great for meeting people but it was a clean and quiet area. The wifi worked very well. It was a very far walk though from the old city.

The hostel had an amazing and fun atmosphere!! The bar downstairs was always happening and it was very easy to meet people as a single traveller. The bathrooms were not the best as the shower flooded the floor and the beds made a lot of noise. But other than that it was in a great location and was a great party hostel!

Great place to meet young travellers!!! In a great neighbourhood near Hyde park. However it was very far from the metro station. The rooms were basic and clean but they could use more bathrooms for the number of people. Also the boxes underneath the beds were very loud opening and closing.
