Urbany Hostel BCN GO!

Barcelona, Spain
100%

Absolutely loved our stay at BCN GO! The best hostel we stayed in within a month of travelling Europe. The breakfast is all you can eat hot food, tea, coffee, juice for only 3 euros so would definitely recommend that! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about Barcelona. The lockers are fantastic with key card access, big enough for backpack/suitcase and charger inside! Only 2 toilets and 2 showers between 20 people but never turned out to be a problem. Amazing hostel well worth it!

Ethic Etape-CIS-Narbonne

Very quiet hostel - there was only the two of us and two other people staying there that we could see. Only one key per room so could be difficult if sharing a room with people you don't know! No atmosphere due to the fact the place is dead but Narbonne itself is a nice town. The woman on reception was lovely but often very busy because she was the only one there and the place is a community center so she was often also dealing with other people for a while.

We ordered pizza from the restaurant on site whilst we were there and once it took two hours to arrive!! I went in to ask after one hour and was told very rudely by the waiter that 'Its in the oven I will call you when its ready'. When my friend went to ask another 30 minutes later a different waiter told her that there was a problem with the computer and our order hadn't gone through! Very rude. Other than that, nice campsite, great view and take earplugs because of the club next door!

Hostel Manuela

Split, Croatia

Basically a house being rented out as a place to stay for travellers. Front door often left open by other people staying there, arrived to be told there are no keys for the lockers because other people have checked out and forgotten to hand them back in. Only one toilet between around 12 people so sometimes a little wait for the bathroom. Rooms very small but bearable and air conditioned so not hot. 20 minute walk to Batvice beach and 5 from the main strip. Supermarket at the end of the street

Buzz Hostel

The door has a keycode so only people staying there can get in and lockers are also provided. The location is okay, around a 25 minute walk or 10 minute tram into the center of Zagreb. Joseph on the reception desk was fantastic - he spoke to us for about 30 minutes about where to see in Zagreb on a budget and with only one day. He also gave us advice about our further travel within Croatia and made us coffee in the morning. Chilled, clean hostel, would recommend

Main Station Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Quite a way out of the center of Berlin but located 2 minutes from an S-Bahn station and Interail ticket holders are entitled to free travel on S-Bahn in Berlin so not really an issue for us. Very quiet hostel, but provided bar service which made it a reasonable place to chill out. Supermarket around 5 minutes walk away. Provide free use of laptops with wifi for as long as the battery lasts which was good for planning rest of our trip. Very clean as housekeeping go round every day.

Lockers were provided but make sure to take your own padlock! Situated about 15 minutes walk from the central train station and right in the heart of the city center. Our room overlooked the canal which was a nice view. Breakfast included in the price was good but not much of atmosphere if you are looking for that. Plenty of toilets and shower facilities which were clean. Beds comfy, overall a decent place to stay for not a bad price.
