Wifi was sort of sketchy when lots of people were trying to use the network at the same timeh; it was free, though. No lockers in the dorms, although the rooms did all have locks. The "Love Shack" double room was decorated hilariously! It's nice that they served breakfast.
The place is both a backpackers and a campground. It's a good location for the Tongariro Crossing trek; the shuttle will pick you up there if you don't have a car. Not very many dishes in the kitchen, although there is plenty of fridge space and lots of burners for cooking. Every room locks, but there are no lockers in the dorm rooms. Wifi works well, but the signal is a lot better near the common areas than in the rooms.
Good location in downtown Rotorua right next to the I-Site tourist info center and walking distance from restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Comfy beds. They have lockers for your valuables, and free wifi, which seems to be unusual in New Zealand.
Location was fine if you have a car, but it's not near central Auckland. Walking distance from a few streets full of restaurants and bars. Quiet atmosphere and comfortable beds make for a good night's sleep.
Good wifi (you have to pay for it, but that seems to be the norm in Australia), good breakfast. Really short walk to a whole bunch of great bars and restaurants, and about a 20 minute walk to the CBD.
Nice clean facilities, helpful staff. Everything in Cairns is walking distance from everything else, so even though it's slightly outside of the main part of town everything you'd ever want to go to is still within a ten minute walk. No lockers, but all rooms require keys to open them. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Cairns.
Excellent facilities and atmosphere. Nice rooms with air conditioning, hot showers, wifi works well in common areas. Ja and Fabian are amazing! Super helpful and always friendly. Great common area makes it easy to meet other travelers, all of whom have been fantastic. Walking distance from public transportation (sky train, which connects to both the metro and the ferry). I've stayed here three times and recommend this place 100%!

Excellent facilities and staff; no complaints.
Nice facilities, beautiful outdoor courtyard. Wifi only works in the common areas, but it's really great in those areas (flawless Skype video chats!).
Breakfast was great. Rooms were very clean. The outdoor common area smelled a bit due to all the animals running around.
Really helpful and friendly staff will help you figure out bus/train tickets, planning for other parts of your trip to Thailand, and recommendations for what to do in Bangkok. 10 minute walk from public transport makes getting around the city easy. Nice communal spaces, both indoors and outdoors, make it easy to meet other travelers. I would definitely recommend this hostel, and will be staying here again when I return to Bangkok.
Walking-distance from the Taj Mahal and some tasty restaurants. Staff were excellent. They served us dinner when we arrived late at night for a very reasonable price. They also worked hard to help us arrange transport out of the city on short notice. I would recommend this hostel.
The family was incredibly friendly and helpful. She made us tea and coffee a few times, including at 6am before we left for a flight, and gave me some food when we arrived in the afternoon and she realized I hadn't eaten lunch. She didn't even charge for the food. Beautiful homestay (the family lives there too), beautiful house and rooms, within walking distance of some of the sites of Fort Kochin and restaurants, and they'll make sure you fit in the most important sites given your timeframe.

Really nice hostel. 10 minutes walk from the beach, hot water in the showers, nice breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, with good recommendations for restaurants, where to get massages, and a tour agent to buy inter-province bus tickets from. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again if I'm ever back in Goa.
There was no shower in the double room, and since rooms were all ensuite that meant no access to a shower. Staff were for the most part very friendly and willing to give recommendations, but the last day they forced us to take a photo with the manager in a room because we are white (my guess is to use in ads), and I thought this was extremely irritating and intrusive. The attached restaurant is not good. It's a hotel, so there's no hostel atmosphere or way to meet other travelers.
There are some restaurants in the area, but it's about a fifteen minute walk to the waterfront and longer to get downtown. That said, tour companies will all pick you up and drop you off right at the hostel for day tours. Staff are friendly and helpful and you can book high quality tours right at the front desk. There's no soap in the bathrooms so bring your own.
Location is not near tourist destinations within Joburg, but it's close to the airport so a good location if you're flying in or out of the city and want something convenient. Patrick will help you set up transport to/from the airport or anywhere else you want to go. Great kitchen facilities with all the cookware you might need. Even if you book a dorm you sometimes get upgraded to a room with fewer beds if they're not totally full, which is nice. I would stay there again.
You have to check in at the bar , with the bartender, which was sort of confusing. Everything else was okay--not the nicest place I've ever been, but there wasn't anything really wrong with it either. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Location is good, within easy walking distance of the train station, bus station, and downtown.
They were overbooked and upgraded us to a private room for the same price as the dorm, which was nice. The person at the front desk was super helpful with recommendations about where to go wine tasting and how to get there on the train. Plenty of clean bathrooms. Breakfast was included and decent. I would definitely stay again.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice facilities; dorm rooms are clean and big enough that they don't feel at all cramped. Within easy walking distance of public transport and many of the main attractions in the city. Breakfast is good if you like lots of different flavors of excellent granola; they also have yogurt, fruit, bread and cheese.
Really nice and helpful staff. A few nights per week they cook a traditional Hungarian dinner for anyone who wants it. Tour desk at the hostel works with good companies. Good location--near the subway, main train station, and the ruin bars, and lots of restaurants. Rooms are a good size, breakfast (included) is decent. Clean. Not a party hostel, but the atmosphere is good and it's easy to meet people.
I only stayed one night so didn't get to experience much of the hostel culture, but I have no complaints.
I only stayed one night, but I have nothing to complain about.
Nice hostel, good facilities, helpful staff. The Sound of Music tour I booked through the hostel was good, plus they provide city maps with a good self-guided walking tour. I have no complaints.
Seaside location was amazing. It's a half hour bus ride to downtown Split, but the bus stop is right next to the hostel and the gorgeous costal location with swimming dock more than made up for it. Description of location on hostelworld is accurate; if you would prefer a peaceful waterfront setting, this is the place for you. If you would prefer to be downtown where you can stumble back to the hostel, it probably isn't. Breakfast was included, huge, and amazing. Would definitely stay again.

The facilities were great and staff were helpful in figuring out transport to and from the park, restaurants in the area, and busses to the next city we were going to visit. It may be because we were there during the off-season, but we didn't really meet any other travelers there. Breakfast is not included, but there are restaurants that serve breakfast for a reasonable price within walking distance. There's also a market right next door.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location is right near the bus station, which is nice, but it's a twenty minute walk from the historic downtown--this didn't bother us but is something to be aware of. Breakfast was included. Overall a really nice, friendly atmosphere and experience; we have no complaints.
Staff are super nice and helpful. The location is great in terms of proximity to the bus station, but it's a 20 minute walk to downtown. This didn't bother us at all, but it is something to be aware of.

Staff were friendly and helpful, and even let me take a (hot!) shower after I got back from my Colca Canyon trek even though I was getting on a bus that night instead of spending another night in the hostel. I booked the trek through the hostel and really enjoyed it; they will help you book lots of trips around Arequipa and other Peruvian cities, as well as book busses. Clean hostel, comfortable beds.
Nice clean hostel, comfortable beds, large lockers. The large dorms were better than average, with each bunk inside its own "cubby-hole" that allowed you to feel separate from the rest of the room. The bar area was nice, and right on the beach. Staff were super helpful in booking the full day Islas Ballestas/Reserva tour, which was a great experience. The only criticism I have is that the hostel is still new and the restaurant isn't ready yet even though it's listed as an amenity online.
The beds were great: large, comfortable, and with plenty of warm covers. The rest of the facilities were mediocre at best; the hot water wasn't very hot, the bathrooms in the dorms weren't particularly clean, and no toilet paper or soap were provided. The owner was very helpful booking treks and helping us get a pizza for delivery.
I loved this hostel. Fantastic facilities, including large comfortable beds. There are only two bathrooms, but both are spacious and clean, with hot water in the showers. Excellent food available. Friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers.
Loved this hostel. It's right next to the beach and has lots of outdoor common areas and a great atmosphere. The staff were really helpful; one guest's phone was stolen, and the owner was well connected in the local community, so he and his friends tracked the thief down and got her phone back.
