As with any big hostel there are pros and cons... On the upside the biggest room is a 4 bed and super spacious and huge locker for your gear. It's clean and modern and CHEAP! Weekly rate of $175!!! Staff are helpfully. And free tea coffee toast cereal pasta and rice!!! However... Kitchen is too small, much too small. It's next to the freeway and above a bar (my room was at least) so quite noisy. The beds ain't the comfiest with waterproof under sheets and pancake thin pillow.

Kitchen well equipped and clean. Free pool table, huge tv and comfy sofa in living room. Family ran place and you can tell... Feels really homely!

Room wasn't clean at all. Kitchen facilities poor. No clean dish towels or cloths/scouring pads to clean the plate, bowl, cup cutlery that you had to hire.

Hi! Thanks for leaving a review, this help us to understand customer needs and help us to improve. Did you speak with someone of the reception about you discomfort? if we did know about it we would ask the cleaner to come again or simply moved you in another room. Also for the towels and the scouring pads, if they were not enough we would have replace it. In the future do not hesitate to speak with the staff for any inquiries, we are more than happy to help you. Regards, Elisa

All in all had a pleasant 3 nights at banjos. Reception staff were very helpful. Beds super comfy and rooms nice and clean. Only drawback is the wooden floors throughout... Which means even when people are trying to move around quietly at night... They're not.

Thanks for the positive feedback Douglas. We are of course very proud to have such great staff and such a hard working cleaning crew here at Banjos. The wooden floors can create a little noise during the quiet night hours but only affect a couple of our rooms, we do of course offer earplugs at reception just in case.
