The Deer Park Inn, Nara, Japan

This is a very nice hostel located in the middle of Nara park. It's a good spot if you want to get out in the hills and do some hillwalking or see some of the temples close by but it is a massive trek if you've got to haul your bags here from the station. It's also a very dark walk back if you come back to the hostel after sunset. There are some street lights but i'd recoomend using your phone torch to dodge the deer dung! Still a cool place to stay if you're in Nara, one of the nicest I visited

It was a fairly nice hostel. Room had a tatami floor rather than a regular mattress which i found easy to sleep on. The staff were very nice and helpful. They gave a lot of suggestions for getting local food and for places to see and things to do. They had a nice common room where you can hang out, watch TV, surf the internet or cook some food if you want to do that. The location is ok, it's close to the zoo and one of the local shopping streets but you'll need to take a train to get to Namba.

This was my first time staying in a traditional capsule hostel. My first impression was the stench of cigarettes but it got better after that. It turned out to also be quite sociable as there's only Wifi on one floor so people have to come together. There were quite a few tourists staying here so there were people to talk to! the only shock for most people is that the only shower is the communal one on the top floor. it closes at 9am (checkout:10am) so if you're not up early you can miss it!

Very pleasant Hostel and we had a good time here. Only here for one night and we didn't do the pub crawl but it was still fun to stay. Not far to walk to get to the restaurant and bar areas.

The Hostel is very clean and the facilities are quite good. It's located close to haeundae beach as well which is a cool place to hang out or watch the sunset. The staff were really helpful and gave me some tips on what to see and where I should I visit. It's a fairly small hostel and a bit removed from Gwangali ( the main bar area) but it's fine if you're just here to sight see and don't mind getting a taxi back after a night out.

This is a Great Hostel! The location beside edinbugh castle is reallt cool and it's really close to the Royal mile and a host of other areas. The common area is great for meeting people, it's open plan with a massive table! I met a lot of people from all over when I stayed here during the festival. I'd come back again!

Excellent hostel, the common is really nice and the bar and pool table make it very sociable. The only issue would be the location it's great for sightseeing but it's then a bit of trek to get to the main nightlife spots.

2 Bathrooms between everyone in the hostel was definitely not enough. There was always a wait in the morning if you weren''t up really early. Breakfasts were ok, toast and fruit, but would be better if there was some cereal available. Still a really nice hostel and the atmosphere was always good, would definitely come back again!
