Not situated in the nicest of areas. Staff were at times rude and there was no real atmosphere. The kitchen was dirty and the air con quite noisy. Other than that alright for a place to rest your head.

Owner Comment (Hide)
We are situated in one of the historical areas of Bucharest and in the center of this big city . I am sorry that you find the kitchen dirty, but at times some other guests do not clean after them when cooking and it is difficult for us to keep an eye on every body 24hours. We are cleaning all the hostel daily. About the staff from what I remember one of us was an old friend of the friend you were travelling with, I am sorry if any comment felt as being rude to you.

Staff so friendly and helpful, great atmosphere, relaxing and also good social feel. Free breakfast and evening meal awesome!! We stayed in the 18 bed dorm, it was really quiet at night and everyone respected each other. Was great having such a large cosy communal space. Would definitely stay there again, they have set the bar high for any other hostel I stay in! Don't hesitate in booking this place! Thanks so much :)

Staff really friendly and so willing to give good local advice. Amazing air conditioning!! Breakfast included, which was a lovely surprise, awesome kitchen, laid back atmosphere and we got to wash our clothes!! We had a late train and staff were happy to look after our bags and let us relax in the hostel before leaving. We had some interesting and stimulating conversations too. Highly recommended!!

Red Dwarf Guesthouse

The hostel, although a little further out of the old town was worth the walk. On arrival we were greeted, helped with our bags encouraged to just sit down for a while drink some refrigerated water (bliss) and relax. We were told all the best places to go, eat and drink but also the nearest food shops etc. There are stunning views of the sunset and you are surrounded by locals so get the feel for the real Dubrovnik culture whilst also meeting other travellers from around the world. Lovely stay!
