The kitchen/lounge had a cooker and TV that didn't work. Switching on the electric kettle caused the hostel electricity to cut out. Garbage bins were unemptied, the one shower was a dribble, and there was no toilet paper. The guardian was friendly and helpfu when I spoke to himl, but he seldom appeared.
Excellent value for a 4-star hotel . The locatiion is not so pretty, but it's only 10 minutes walk from the train/bus station, and a further 5 minutes to the gate to the old city of Lucera. The staff were very obliging, even lending me a laptop when the hotel's internet point was unavailable. It also has a very decent restaurant, with some good local wines.

The best feature is its proximity to the station, but it's also a short walk to the centre. There's a good Internet cafe nearby. The breakfast is a bit unpredictable.
