I've stayed in many hostels over the years and this is probably the best one I've stayed in. Massive beds, welcoming, attentiveand helpful staff, cute hostel cat, central location, reasonable price, well equipped kitchen (even with Smeg fridges!), very clean. Lots to do - books, laptops to borrow, Nintendo, staff often organised activities or trips out. Couldn't ask for more really!
One of the worst and wierdest places I've ever stayed. Basically a 1 bed room ground floor apartment. A miserable and unwelcoming PHd student lives in the 1 bedroom. There is a tiny, not very clean bathroom. The other room (which opens directly onto the street) is what should be a small combined kitchen, living and dining area. Instead there are 4 single beds crowded in, a little table and a wardrobe. The kitchen area is one corner. There is no kettle. There is no privacy or security.
Great atmosphere. Very relaxed. But a bit messy. Breakfast fine but very basic and no dairy-free (such as soya) milk.
