Would recommend this hostel - it has large, clean rooms and good facilities, including a well-appointed communal area and bar. It's only a short walk away from Athens's main tourist sites and offers a good and relatively cheap breakfast buffet.

This hostel has excellent facilities and is in a good location right near to HS station. We were in Den Haag for 2 days and the hostel was perfect in helping us see the city; the staff were helpful and the breakfast and bike deal set us up on a good day of exploring.

This hostel is in a great location in the centre of Bruges. There is a great bar attached to the hostel and it has a good atmosphere. The facilities are good and everything is well-maintained. There is free overnight parking on the road outside. A slight negative was that the rooms didn't have lockers.

This hostel is in a good location in the centre of Frankfurt. There are good facilities and it is clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful. Security is almost too much; you have to use the key card to get through every door in the hostel and have to use it to exit. There is convenient, free overnight parking on the road outside of the hostel.

This hostel is in a good location in central Vienna. It has good facilities and is clean and well-maintained. Unfortunately there is no parking available and we had to pay quite a lot to park overnight in the city centre. Also, the hostel is split over 3 separate buildings and there isn't really a communal area to hang out in.

This hostel is in a great location and has very helpful staff who were happy to give us directions and advice on where to go. There is a bar and a good atmosphere, and the hostel is clean and well-maintained. There was cheap parking quite near which was convenient. The only criticism I would have is that the curtains in the rooms are too small and let a lot of light into the rooms from the streetlights.

This is a very friendly hostel with welcoming staff; as soon as we arrived we were offered a glass of local rakia! We were also given a lot of directions and advice on what to see in the city. The dorm rooms and facilities are all nice and well-maintained. There was a good atmosphere in the evening in the common area and it's in a convenient location. There's also a free car park which saved us some money on overnight parking.

This hostel's name is very misleading; the hostel isn't in Dubrovnik at all, but in a small town a 15 minute bus ride away. The hostel itself is nice, with good facilities and friendly staff. It's convenient if travelling by car as there is a free car park.

This hostel is in a great location right beside the main square and is excellent value for money. The staff are very helpful - they let us use their parking space for our car so we didn't have to pay for parking. Unfortunately the toilets aren't the cleanest and are a bit small. There is a good atmosphere in the common area but the noise kept us awake quite late into the night.

Nice guesthouse with fairly good facilities. There is a basic restaurant on the site and the hostel is only a 5 minute walk from the main street in Tanah Rata. Good atmosphere with plenty of other travellers. The staff helped me to plan my hikes and gave me good advice of what to do in the area. The only downside was that there aren't lockers in the dorm room.

Great hostel, the best I stayed in in Malaysia. There's a very friendly atmosphere meaning it's very easy to meet other travellers and get tips on what to do. The hostel's location is great for all the sights in Georgetown and the staff are very friendly. I can't really think of any downsides!

This hostel is well-located near the bund and other sights in Shanghai. There is a lot of space to hang out and meet other travellers, and the staff are friendly. The facilities are fine and everything is clean and tidy - I would recommend this hostel.

This hotel is well furnished and very clean. The twin room my friend and I stayed in was nice, with an interactive TV with English-language films. The hostess of the hotel speaks excellent English and was very helpful with anything we asked, and there is a lot of information about the local area (including Putuoshan) available. However, apart from a lot of seafood restaurants, there isn't much to do nearby and we had to get a bus for at least 20 minutes to the local sites and Putuoshan ferry.

The hostel has a nice bar area and the rooms are relatively clean. However, the bathroom was not nice at all and let down the rest of the hostel. In terms of location, it is quite far from the main tourist areas of Shanghai.

This hostel is well-located, being very close to people's square. The hostel is well-decorated and furnished with an 'old China' feel. My friend and I stayed in a twin room on our first night due to a lack of space in the dorms, and transferred to a dorm on the second night - both were clean and good value. The bar area is nice, but a little expensive if travelling on a backpacker budget. The staff are helpful and friendly.

This hostel is clean and has a good bar / hang out area. Whilst the staff are friendly, I always had to wait a while to get their attention. Also, the hostel let itself down with very slow wifi. The location is good for the touristy streets of Hangzhou but it's a bit of a walk to the West Lake.

This is a good hostel with a great location. It's very close to the harbour area of Xiamen, with a large array of shops and restaurants nearby. The Gulang Wu ferry is close by making a day trip there easy. The hostel is clean and has a lot of room to hang out in and meet other travellers. The staff are very helpful ad friendly. My only slight criticism is that, whilst there is a bar, in practice it wasn't really in use and that would have added to the atmosphere.

This is a really nice hostel with great facilities and friendly staff. The rooms are very well kept, with the dorm room having its own bathroom. There is a pleasant cafe/bar next door, which is perfect to chill out in - there was a movie playing on the night arrived. The staff are very helpful and gave me directions when I needed them. In terms of location, it is good; the West Lake isn't too far and you can walk straight out onto a touristy street.

This is a great hostel, in an excellent location very near to the main tourist entrance of the Xi'an Wall. The staff are very helpful, and were more than happy to help me plan my sightseeing and also how to get to the airport by shuttle bus. There is also an excellent bar attached to the hostel, and a cafe/restaurant. My only slight complaint is that the wifi took a while to work - I think there were a lot of people trying to access it at the same time.
Hey there! Thank you so much for your review. Your support really encourage our staff to serve all the guests. Shuyuan hostel is more than a place to sleep but a place to enjoy nice western food and enjoy music at bar. Welcome to hostel next time David! Best wishes from Shuyuan Hostel!

This hostel is excellent - the location is superb, being in the middle of Pingyao's old town. The decor is beautiful - I could walk out from my room into a traditional courtyard, which really added to the experience of staying in historic Pingyao. The rooms are very clean and the staff are friendly. I don't really have any complaints! Perhaps the rooms could be improved if there were lockers, instead of having to leave valuables behind the front desk.

This hostel was generally really good - it has a nice atmosphere, with a lot of space to chill out. I especially liked the cafe/bar area, and it was easy to meet and talk to other travellers. The graffiti theme is pretty cool. I only have some slight complaints - when it reached midnight we were told to go to bed rather than being able to stay up and talk in the communal area. Also, there were some leaks in the bar roof, and I got slightly wet!

I thought this hostel was amazing. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean and well kept, but the most positive thing about it was the atmosphere; Tom (the owner) makes for an excellent host, helping you to find whatever you need. I went to Tiger Leaping Gorge for 2 days, and Tom helped to arrange the bus there and back, and let me leave one of my bags for the time I was away. The hostel's communal area is very comfortable and cosy, making it very easy to meet and chat to others.

This hostel was very well kept and in a very good location for some of Kunming's main sites - particularly Yuantong Temple and Green Lake Park. There is a very nice cafe / bar area with a pool table. My only slight complaint was that the staff at the front desk were slightly unhelpful and abrupt.
