Most hospitable place we stayed, really friendly staff, love giving you shots of palinka or glasses of wine when you come in! Really quirkily decorated, nice room, one of the bathrooms didn't have hot water a couple of times but there were other bathrooms to use and the staff were on fixing it once told about it. Also there's no lift so make sure you can handle walking up three floors of stairs every time you get back. But overall a really really nice hostel!

The bar never really filled out, but you get a free drink and the prices were good with offers on cocktails. Everything else was good - kitchen worked, has free pasta, located right next to the WestBahnhof train station, laundry was nice and easy, all good.

No soap in our toilet when we first got there, and you have to walk across the reception to get to toilets/showers. Not sure the oven worked. Otherwise everything was good, really close to city centre, really funky decorations, easy to chill out and meet other travellers.

Lockers were just outside the rooms which was an annoyance but not that big a deal. Really helpful staff. A bit out of the city centre, but surrounded by good, cheap restaurants, we ended up eating out every night. Really close to a bunch of markets that are put on at the weekend too.

Bit of a walk to get to any part of Brussels you want to visit. Room was nice, bar was full every night. Kitchen wasn't really big enough to accommodate all the guests who wanted to cook. Good hostel overall.

Keycards didn't work on the last night for everyone for some reason, but sorted at the front desk very easily. Need your own padlock for the crates under the bed, but all your stuff is safe in them. Curtains on the beds are great for sleeping but not for socialising - if curtains are drawn you never know if someone's sleeping or not! Free breakfast was great. Great hostel overall!

Room was good, fridge smelled, never met anyone staying in the other room, and the shared bathroom was weird - one door on one side, one door on the other, had to remember to lock/unlock both! But very pleasurable stay, no complaints.

The fridge was brand new but broke. The factory have replaced it.
