One of the better hostels i've stayed at. The outdoor room for smoking/ socialising and the movie room are really good additions. The rooms have creaky but comfy beds. Fan and light for each bed! i stayed in two separate rooms/ two different bookings The first lockers were bad, the second lockers were perfect. Easy to meet people here, and have fun. Breakfast isn't anything special, bread, bagels and mixed low quality cut up fruit. Wifi everywhere which does drop connections sometimes, but good.

Nice little hostel, but again the whole non-member price thing is a joke. Nice people around and very good staff. Pancakes would pretty sucky, but bread offerings were very good. Location fine, some stuff todo locally or 10/15 mins into town on bus (walkable few miles). Decent beds, decent lockers. Nice garden, smoking allowed but no alcohol. Lockers need to be brought into building as they are quite exposed out the back when the door is open which is quite often.

It's a motel as others have said. The room had a microwave and fridge, no plates, cutlery or kettle. It does have a TV with loads of channels though. The beds were comfy enough and the room cool with large windows. The laundry facility is a headache to use, going back and forth borrowing the key.. They do have lots of activity pamphlets/ flyers available. The place is only good for a single or two nights stay. The restroom was clean. A cheap dirty hostel would probably be better for a backpacker

Nice hostel. By bed cover was kinda grimey but didn't need it anyway, i also had a small pillow. There wasn't any A/C but San Fran doesn't really need it in the evening. The lockers were very big as they were wooden under the bed and fixed/ part of it. You have a curtain in your section so it's kind of like a den, with light and power socket, nice way of doing it. Toilets/ shower fine/ clean. Breakfast was very good, but no cereal. Tea with milk and sugar all day for free. Decent wifi, free PCs.

Good hostel. Nice patio areas and everything was clean. On Hollywood's doorstep, but quite place still. Not much socialising but there's often one or two people around to chat to. Staff were either great or terrible, just depends who's on the shift. Lockers weren't in the rooms and kinda small, big enough for a 13" laptop. Toilets/ showers were too few, but they were very clean. Breakfast was poor, but grocery store 2 minutes walk away. They do a $20 refundable deposit for the key, so take cash.

A greatly equipped hostel. Beach, food and shops all around. Good grocery store down the road. Though the place lacks atmosphere. Not enough travellers to chat to. But i did find some cool people around and the facilities made up for it. Though no A/C is annoying considering the price. Also no alcohol or smoking anywhere on site was annoying as it forced allot of people away. The patio area was really nice, but since no alcohol or smoking could be done there it wasn't used for socialising.

From first look the hostel looks not so good. But in reality it's potentially a great hostel, just let down by poor maintenance and staff that are under enthusiastic. While there are only 2 showers and toilets per floor, i never had an issue with availability. The toilets and kitchen are very clean, just the rooms aren't. The lockers in the rooms cost a quarter to lock every time. The breakfast is good, tea all day. Washing powder is free. No air con in rooms. Overall a positive experience.

Great hostel. Only stayed a night. But breakfast and free food was awesome. Also tea for us English all day long. Swimming pool, decent rooms and locks. Diane who works there was also really cool. Thanks for the pizza!

It's NOT a hostel. But for the price it's very good. I paid the same amount for a a shared room in DC and NY. Here i got 2 double beds, en suite, swimming pool, towels, fridge and soap for the same price. My safe didn't work, never got fixed despite asking, charged $2 a night for it but when questioned i was told it was for the use of a fridge too. The free shuttle is good but runs once a day, and doesn't give you a whole day at the sites, but Universal Studios is within walking distance.

Unless you're going to non-stop get drunk then i wouldn't bother this place. The hostel says want it does, but there's no sociable area but a bar which is soo loud. It's difficult to socialise and most people are there just to drink so conversations are quite dull. While the location is good, you will be able to do Miami stuff in the day without worry. Breakfast is pointless and there is no smoking area.

It's clean, with good staff. Big lockers and secure. They provide towels, fresh linen and soap. I didn't try the wifi so can't comment on that. There's a laundrette 2 minutes walk. A short walk to everything in DC. The free BBQ was average and it was well prepared but very cheap. The breakfast was just pancakes and sugar. There's allot of questionable rules here, like no juice or beer in fridge. Threatening signs about fines for blocking the toilets feels very insulting.

Great atmosphere here. No complaints really. But a few new pots and pans would be nice.
