The reception was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. The hostel is small so not much of an atmosphere but the outside social area made it easy to meet the others staying there

We were booked in for the 6 bed dorm but moved to the 10 bed. They seemed to think this was acceptable as the rooms are the same price but we had chosen that hostel for the smaller room size. There was no apology or refund. The toilets smelt due to large, uncovered bins. Decided to move the next day. Good location and breakfast.

More room is needed for time outside the bedroom e.g relaxing and having breakfast. Room was quite nice and location is near centre but not so noisey.

One of the doors wasn't attached to my lockers, making it unusable. Twice I asked for this to be fixed and was ignored leaving me with no locker for the duration of my stay. Breakfast wasn't early enough for some of the Halong Bay trips. When we told the staff we had booked said trip with another company they lost interest in us. We decided to move after a night.

Lockers weren't very secure. Can be accessed by lifting the matress on top of them. Found it very hard to find. Clearer directions are needed. Otherwise a very nice hostel.

After staying in hostels we were very pleased with the rooms themselves. However, we were disappointed with the service. We had four breakfasts at the hostel and for 3 of them one of us got the wrong food. We booked train tickets from them to Hue for 200,000 dong, when we later removed their stapled on business card we saw a price tag of 70,000. I understand travel agents take their cut but think this is too steep. They also asked $17 for transport there which we found for $9.

Awesome hostel. All the staff are great and really helpful with bookings. Good distance from the centre but not noisey. Do cheap breakfasts. The bar provides a great hub for meeting other people. Allows you to have a couple of beers without feeling the need to go out to meet others. Best hostel on my trip so far.

Owner Comment (Hide)
Hi, Cheers for the really complimentary review - much appreciated. We agree the location is good as just far enough away from the noise but close enough to walk. Great that you met other people here - that is the main reason we built the outdoor bar and pool - to encourage interaction amongst the guests. Really happy that you said we were the best hostel on your trip so far - can never get enough of hearing that!. Safe Travels. Nicole and the 543 team.

Planned on staying for 1 night and ended up being there for 3. The only thing missing from this hostel is a good atmosphere. As someone travelling alone it was harder for me to meet people although this may be due to it being low season. Near all the attractions of Phuket town and the bus station to the beaches.

Only problem is there's 3 toilets for the whole hostel but other than that it's great. The staff are all really welcoming. I'm not much of a party animal but joined the bar crawl and still felt included dispite not wanting to drink much.

Great hostel and extended my stay for another night. Really helpful with arranging transport and what to do in the day. I didn't want to party but found the reception area quiet in the evenings and still a nice place to chill and meet people.

A nice hostel near the free bus and LRT. 8 bed dorm was a bit on the small size but had good sized lockers in the room.

Incredibly hot, there was only one window in the bathroom and it hadn't been (and couldn't be) opened. These were in the centre of the building causing the rooms to heat up as well. Other than that everything seemed good.

Guy at the front desk was incredibly helpful, gave good tips for both Zagreb and our next city, made our stay a lot easier, recommend talking to him. Kitchen had good facilities and everywhere was clean. Large bag sized lockers in rooms and locks on door so very secure. Very close to a tram stop but not a comfortable walking distance from the city center. Directions on booking e-mail were really bad (wrong street names and numbers) would recommend planning your own way there. Very happy stay.

Got put in a double room instead of dorms which was nice. There was no air-con in the room (online it says there is) meaning it was incredibly hot during the night and difficult to sleep. We were next to what we presume was one of the offices and they played a lot of loud music at unsociable hours. There was a dog kept outside the room who was very noisy. Beach they recommended was poor so would suggest people go to those nearer the city center.
