The only problem with the location is that it is at the top of a very steep hill, so if you have plans to pop out of the hostel and back a few times during the day, you will certainly get your exercise. But with the steep hill comes a glorious view from the garden...

HI Portal do Pantanal

We enjoyed our stay during the World Cup. Staff were lovely but it was overpriced for what we got. Breakfast needs to be improved significantly, and the 'kitchen' is pathetic so don't plan on cooking. But location is great once located and close to great restaurants. They organize tours too which were good although no real tour guide - more of a private driver scenario. Which has both benefits and negatives.

Manaus Jungle Hostel

There could be immense improvement in the food which is served. Having rice, beans, and the cucumber salad for both lunch and dinner was disappointing given that we had to eat it for 3 days. The menu needs to be improved , particularly for vegetarians.

We did not stay there because they refused to honour our reservation through Hostelworld. Very disappointing.
