Definitely a party hostel! So very good if you are that kind of young traveller..not good if you just want to relax. Filled with young British and American tourists. Good deals for dune buggy and sandboarding.

Nasca Trails Hostel

Juan & his family are excellent hosts. Their hostel is situated a short walk from bustling mid-town and offers peace and quiet in a very relaxed space. Rooms are spacious and very clean and the best shower we've had in days. Juan can arrange any tour of the surrounding area and flights at the best prices. He will point you in the direction of the best non-touristy restaurants and Isabella's breakfast at 5soles is a convenient must. The ONLY place to stay at when in Nasca!* Gracias Juan por todo!

We couldn't make it for our night's stay due to cancelled bus from Bolivia, but did drop in the morning and they let us shower and relax for the day while waiting for our night bus for a decent price. Nico and Jenny are great people, and Arica Unite is a great place close to the beach. Worth a visit!

Great location! Beautiful, historic building! Room was dirty when we got there, had to request new sheets. Large, spacious room with balconies. Staff very helpful! Internet NOT reliable. Leak in the roof during thunder storm - a bit concerning as we were on the middle floor... Kitchen is very very tiny with only one elec stove plate - takes 30 mins to boil water. Not a hostel where you can do own cooking. Breakfast was good, lots of fruit! Would NOT stay there again..

Definitely a gem in Colonia! Our home away from home! It was a great pleasure to stay at Sur. The kitchen is huge and a pleasure to cook in, there is a lot of open spaces to chill out and when the bar on the roof terrace is completed it is going to be even more awesome. I can definitely recommend Sur Hostel and will stay there again if I find myself in Colonia for a night.. Peace&Love

Great location and very helpful staff, great with giving info about the area. Our bed in double room with bathroom was a bit old and the mattress needs replacing soon..watch your shins! The rooms are big, but beware that it can be very noisy here as the social area is right by room doors. Bfast was great by S-American standards. Great swimming pool!*

Great location in Ipanema.Excellent all you can eat breakfast from 8to3,no need to wake up early, although you have to write your name on a list so you cant use it as a free lunch. Wifi is available but not always reliable, I suppose thats wifi hey.. The communal bathrooms and showers are not cleaned daily and we were quite cautious to touch anything in there. The Brazilian way of disposing of toiletpaper after use is quite uncommon for travellers and we suggest pedal bins WITH LIDS for hygiene

Thanks for staying with us, and especially for your comment. I am sorry to hear that the wifi wasn´t perfectly working when you were here. It normally function perfectly, so long as you stay in one place. As for the communal bathrooms, that are cleaned daily by the cleaning staff, but since they are being used by 8 different people, on that side of the building, they won´t stay spotless very long. Please accept our apologies if your stay was in anyway not perfect...................Jay.
