Wicked Hostels - Calgary

This was the last hostel we stayed in our trip and had done a lot of travelling before so maybe didn't appreciate the facilities as much as possible. Provide free b'fast which is always great. There were computers and phone available too which is always handy. The showers were really lovely and clean, kitchens quite small as it seemed pretty popular. Rooms were ok size, room mates not always as desired! Guy on the reception was really helpful and welcoming too.

Thanks for the great review, from the sounds of it you really liked the hostel but must of had either a snorer or some ummm...amorous people in your room. Cheers, Jeff

Was the second hostel we stayed in on our long weekend, and it was lovely! Rooms were super clean, duvets were lovely and the towels you could rent were amazing! :) location is perfect, so close to the waterfront, all the sights and the shopping! People were really nice, and was a bit different as each floor had its own kitchen instead of one communal one. The rooms all had a sink in which was handy, and staff were generally really helpful and made you feel really welcome too.

Stayed here 3 separate times when travelling in the Rockies, rooms are massive compared to lots of other hostels we stayed in, and was added bonus that the room has own shower and toilet as that's rare too. Located right at the end of the main road through Banff, so your in town centre within minutes. Also it has 3 computers that are free to use. Slightly more pricey than most but I think worth it with location, wifi, and free b'fast!

Stayed here twice during our trip..really good hostel. Meet some lovely people, staff were really helpful and location was great. Is quite loud and quite busy but that doesn't stop u getting a good nights sleep! Love that u get your own fan and light too. Having the bar down stairs was good too, and they do drink and food offers every day too which helps the pennies!

Loved it! We were visiting lake Louise at the time we stayed here for 2 nights so yeh it was a little bit out the way, if u were on your way up the ice fields be a perfect stop. Such a beautiful location, wifi is not on all the time, not much security, long drop toilets, no showers just the creek but it was all awesome! Great atmosphere, gorgeous scenery, comfy rooms, everything u actually need for a comfy stay without the trimmings.

Was a bit mislead on this one, we wanted somewhere close to Canmore so we could go out for a drink, this was a drive to the outskirts of Canmore which was disappointing. The common room has a beautiful view. Hostel was real clean but room was tiny!! Not my fav hostel stay to be honest. Met some nice people there, clean, and staff are friendly but just not my fav.

Ended up staying here 3 times on our trip to the Rockies, first time was because nowhere else was free and was dreading it as reviews weren't amazing, but we loved it! The rooms are massive, much bigger than average & they have private bathrooms which is rare, computers available for free which again is rare & bonus, free b'fast too which is always welcome on the pennies! Good staff, and location is great, right on the main road in Banff, so stay there! Oh massive lockers too!
