It seriously does feel like a homely family after a day! I was lucky enough to have great company my whole stay but the place just attracts cool people ! Good showers, kitchen and common area for a few drinking games if you're up for it! Shout out to my roomies Nora and Filip! And for the fellas out there, you might be lucky to see the one gorgeous Hungarian who works there but her shifts are far too rare! I extended my stay for 3 nights and recommend it to anyone!
DORM 9 turned into its own little party shack and the pub crawls took everything to a new level. The staff is friendly, Daniel is "always good" and you can't beat off the smiles from the girls at reception (Magda) or the guys behind the bar! I loved the place and I'm already telling everyone it is a must do! Met so many cool people! Shout out to Ollie, Scotty, Lucy, Heather, Tim, Niall, Nat, Carlie, Mari, Sully, Jordan, CJ and Jonny!! This is one story I'll never forget!!
It's a solid half hour walk to get to the old town centre but you walk down one of the main streets to get there anyway. I stayed during a very quiet period so it was like staying at a friends place with the staff helping out where they could.
It's so close to the old town centre and the bar was always welcoming. Going back here to stay would be an easy choice and I think it's pretty suitable for all age groups.
Was lucky enough to stay with the facilities on the second floor being brand new. The wifi connection was quite good throughout the entire hostel. Again, there were just enough powerpoints but inconviently placed, just a minor detail really but otherwise this was made up with fun staff on the top floor and it has a good common room area. The distance to the old town too is less than 5 mins walk.
The vibe of the hostel is what made this place for me. Ended up meeting two Pommies and has a cracking night in the old town with them. The terrace is just set for having a few late arvo beers and the staff were happy to help out with questions. It's only problem i thought was the location from old town, but in the scheme of things, this was a minor detail.
