Not the cleanest of places but it passes - mostly due to the food allowance in the rooms. It's a long term hostel, most people know each other from the months they've been there. Nice people though, staff are very welcoming. Easy going atmosphere. Pay for wifi.
Amazing staff. Very friendly and informative. Gave lots of maps and information and answered every question I had with thoughtful additions and took into account my interests. Clean and a good environment to meet people. Nice morning breakfast and coffee/tea available all the time. Though there is no wifi in the rooms, it ended up being a perfect excuse to cozy up with tea downstairs and watch tv with new friends. Wifi is excellent on ground floor.
good breakfast. wifi in all the rooms. staff are extremely helpful and know the city well - can give information about almost anything. great place. would stay again.
Annoying that the toilets are down the hall. Getting a towel is nice, also kitchen is not well stocked with knives especially. No hostel atmosphere, almost 15 minutes walk to beach. I'd stay here again but wasn't my favourite.
Love love this hostel, best one I've stayed at and I've been traveling in Europe for 2 months now. Fun free pasta nights. Definitely younger crowd party hostel. Don't stay here if you want to sleep before midnight.
Great fun! Only thing is that it's a little dirty. Great location and staff are so great to you. Very caring and friendly.
Really close to the mestre train station (approx 10 minutes walking). Google maps it before you get there. Only 1.20€ train to the island of venice. Nothing bad to say except that sometimes the door to the reception is closed and you have to wait or knock on a private room. No hostel atmosphere - this is a hotel with dorms.
Great place in general except far from the train station - 25 minutes walk ish. Or you can bus but don't be without a bus ticket because you can be fined.
Staff are great. Rooms are clean! Not too far from the city centre but far enough that you can sleep. The area is actually perfect for less than expensive places to eat and of course szimpla kert is a 3 minute walk away. And it was cheap! I would HIGHLY recommend this hostel!
A bit far from old town square but walkable. Staff were not helpful in the least. Everything else was perfect.
Really really cold in hostel during the day - heat at night fixes this. Makes napping difficult during the day after a night out. Bit far from downtown and when the metro closes it's an expensive taxi back. Front desk doesn't speAk English very well. Very Spanish atmosphere.. Didn't meet anyone as an English traveler here. Wouldn't recommend.
Nice to have personal lockers in the room. Everything from bathrooms to kitchen to beds to facilities looks and is old. But great location and very secure. Would stay again for short trips only.
If security of your personal items is a main concern, don't stay here. The luggage storage rooms didn't even lock and if you wanted to be able to lock the cages under your bed you needed to rent a specific lock from the front desk for 5£. I was told by a staff member that the only safe place to leave your stuff was by renting a tiny locker across from reception. Ended up being fine but was annoyed at the lack of security.
The staff are beyond excellent. That is all.
