The Lounge, Koh Samui, Thailand

Not recomended if you're actually trying to sleep. A loud sound system is available to guest, in the middle of all the rooms. Half the people partied until 5 am and the other half tried to sleep and could not. Expect to be overcharged for transportation they'll tell you that mini buses aren't available and that taxi cost 400 bath to the airport. Then they'll have their fried avaialble to drive you. A minibus from the airport cost me 100 bath from much further 2 days prior.

Balcony Hostel Patong, Phuket, Thailand

Awesome place and great people managing the hostel. Very friendly and helpfull. Do not let the location deter you from staying here. It's on the edge of town but only a 10 min walk down the beach to the center of the action. The place is very clean and well maintained

Deejai Backpacker, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Pretty happy with the hostel and would stay there again. The on sote restaurant is a definite bonus. Te food is excellent and reasonably priced but the staff always seem to forget something. It became a bit of a running gag. The rooms and main common area are very clean but the common bathroom needed serious attention. A clogued toolet was left unatended for over half a day.

So Hostel Chiangmai, Chiang Mai, Thailand

The staff are not very social and the social layout of the common areas do not promote getting to know other travellers. Just tables and chairs not a lot of room to just chill. The rooms were clean but the common areas needed work. The staff actually double bolled my bed so i had to move past midnight because they had made a mistake. At least they had another place for me. Stayed obe night then moved. Glad i did as there are much better ones for the same price
