Funny Palace Hostel

Rome, Italy

The Funny Palace Hostel was great for us. We had a private room, and had booked to have a shared bathroom. After arriving we were informed we had been upgraded to a private bathroom/shower. It was very clean/nice and much appreciated. My only complaint would be that there was no common area, and no shared kitchen to cook meals. Overall I would absolutely recommend it

La Casetta

Cinque Terre, Italy

We stayed for three nights and were very impressed. It's a good size apartment, clean, quiet area, and a great view from the rooftop. Corniglia is the quietest of the 5 villages, which was fine with us, but would maybe be a negative for some. The worst part was that the door to the patio is tiny

We only stayed for one night and overall thought it was a great place. The only complaint we had was the breakfast, it was lacking when compared to other hostels we stayed at in Europe.

Budget Hotel Tourist Inn

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent, breakfast was top notch, and the common area is great. The only reason our rating wasn't higher was because our room was in their old building across the alley. It had a great view of the canal and the bed was clean/comfortable, but the building in general was run down and creepy. Be prepared to have red light ladies as your neighbour if you're in their old building.
