this hostel i located on the island in front of venice, which offers an incredible view over Venice, as its located on the waterfront. Completly renowned it offers a very cool style, comfortable beds and rooms and a nice bar. you have to take the Vaporetto, to get there, which is really expensive, but if you buy a 24 hour or more ticket, you can use the Vaporetto to take a cruise along the Grand canal or the Harbour, which is quite impressive.

the hostel is not central, but in a really nice area with a good restaurant, bar and supermarket nearby. the metro station is 2 minutes away and takes you to the city centre within 3 stops. the rooms where clean and we´ll equipped, but the warm water and the toilet flush weren´t working properly when we stayed there. but definitely a good hostel to start exploring rome.

As last year we had and awesome and relaxing stay here, the roof terrace is incredible, the common areas are well equipped, a clean beach is just down the road, a sports tavern with good food and shopping centres are nearby, just like the metro. the only thing i have to criticise is the internet connection on the public pcs, which is controlled via norton software, which made it almost impossible, to book other hostels or a ferry ticket

It´s a nice hostel, the rooms seem like flats all connected via an atrium. you have enough space there and a nice roof terrace. the common area on the ground floor wasn´t that pretty, but offered a kitchen. the wifi was very patchy all over the building, and the public computers couldn´t connect to the internet at all.

It was ok for one night, but the 10 bed room was very small, everything was clean. In the common area there was music and a lot of talk, but not the kind of people i liked to socialise with. the besch nearby was not that clean, as the port is just a few hundred metres away.

This is definitely the best and most beautiful hostel I´ve ever been to. Located in a over hundred year old building but completly renovated it offers all the things you can and cannot demand from a hostel. the rooms were spacy and comfortable, some with view over the bay, the common areas were awesome with free pool table, internet access, tv and so on. the kitchen was perfect, also the included breakfast. the pubcrawl and barbecue were fun too and the staff very friendly. I´ll come back!

It was ok for one night in Bruges, nice bar on the ground floor, the room was spacy and the location central, but the bunk beds were in very bad condition, they have been fixed a few times, even with an USB cable. Would not surprise me, if they break down soon.

Hans Brinker Budget Hotel

The rooms and beds were good, there was always a lot going on, so if you look for a quiet hostel, this is definitely not your place. The common area including the bar was very nice and perfect for socialising. Also the location near to Leidseplein and the city centre was very comfortable. I would recommend this to young people, who want to spend some fun days in Amsterdam. Worst hostel in the world ;-)
