Great hostel but the staff is far too laid back and in cahoots with tourism companies. If you have them book a shuttle DEMAND Greyline (free wifi on) or Interbus. DO NOT let them tell you it's all the same and that shuttles run all day or they will call their friend's crappy service Arenal ABP Tours (which they get a kickback on) and you'll end up on the most uncomfortable ride ever. Be sure to clarify who you want to book through before asking the front desk to book anything on your behalf.

Hot showers, air conditioning, giant pool, bar with a happy hour, delicious food, computer room, and staff that helps you book tours. This is a no brainer - this is where you should stay!

Blue Trailz Hostel & Surf Camp, Tamarindo, Costa Rica

Great location! Across the street from the beach where street vendors sell $1 coconuts and homemade ice cream. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There's an Interbus and tourism office around the corner if you need help booking shuttles or tours as Blue Trailz focuses mostly on surf lessons. The place is cleaned daily but the bathroom always seems to be covered on beach sand and smells of poop. $6 laundry service at 10am everyday and lots of restaurants, supermarkets

I really like it here. Air conditioning, lots if bathrooms, a pool, helpful staff and $1 beers. It's also a 40 minute walk from Old Town and there are lots of places to eat, gamble and drink within walking distance. If you're looking to go to David, ask a taxi to take you to Albrook Terminal - it will cost maybe $5 but confirm your rate before you get in.

Though Jungla De Panama is just outside of Boquete, I adored waking up to monkeys, donkeys, boas, goats

I really liked it here. Friendly staff, $1 beers in their fridge, 40 min walk to Old Town and close to restaurants, casinos and a bank. Plenty of showers and they even have a pool.
