Our room was excellent and the rate included breakfast and dinner. Slightly cheered exceeded our expectations!

Common area was very nice. Beds were clean but bathrooms could use a little work. Directions to get to the hostel were unclear and sounded like you needed to take a bus (which was hard to locate) and walk10 minutes, but it's really one or the other. They have slips of paper with popular destinations written in Chinese for taxi drivers, which was helpful. Internet connection was not good. This is the only hostel I've ever stayed in where staff will not help guests book train tickets.

Dear Alexandra, Thanks for your review ! we will do our best to improve the facilities. The tickets office is far away from the hostel ,they can not bring the tickets to our hostel .But the railway station is nearby ,so it is very easy to buy tickets from railway station. Have a nice trip at your next stop !

So Hostel Chiangmai

This hostel is very well kept! The space is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, location is convenient. Definitely one of the nicer hostels we've stayed in. My only problems were that it is so big it can be impersonal if you're trying to meet people and the dryers don't work so we spent WAY more money and time than necessary cleaning our clothes.

This place is incredible! The staff is the best I've seen and they facilitate socialization between the guests seamlessly. The hostel is clean and comfortable. Very social guests, we even had people from other hostels coming to hang out at Ringside. I love this hostel and am dying to go back!
