Really good place to stay. Tarik and Mo are awesome. Can work on cleanliness in toilets though.
They mention on the website that they do pickups from the city center for free but when I called them about it they refused. The owner was a nice guy so I didn't make a big deal out of it. It was annoying though because one of the major reasons I booked this place was because of the free pickups they provided. It is a good 15 minute walk from the beach so in the scorching heat it was extremely painful.
Gail and her staff are amazing friendly people. Watch out for Ibrahim, he's perhaps the only Arabic guy I met in those 3 weeks with amazing sense of humor. I missed the bus to Wadi Rum so they put me in the taxi that was going to pick people up from Wadi Rum for only 10 JD.
Wifi barely works. Bathrooms need to be cleaned properly everyday. Staff is really cool though, Gab and others were really helpful. Really close to the sea.
It is a really small hostel, there were more staff members than guests when we were there. It is a little bit of a walk from the bus and train stations but Faro is too small for it to be a problem. Staff definitely go to any limits to make your stay comfortable, all your needs are taken care of .....all ;)
The location is excellent, next to the beach and a lot of cheap places to eat. Rooms need upgrading though. Our bathroom's door could not be closed properly but they never cared to fix it. Also, the bathroom was not cleaned everyday which is unusual for a hostel.
They need to clean bathrooms regularly. We were there for 3 nights and the bathroom was cleaned once in that duration. It is basically like a big commercial hotel converted into a hostel. It takes a long time to get to the rooms every time because the elevators are always super busy. On the plus side there are pub crawls every night and because the hostel is so huge there are always some people to go out with.
Nice place to stay but not a lot of activities happening.
The place needs Air Conditioning real bad. It was hot as hell at night and everyone struggled to sleep. One important thing though, place is in the red light district of Zurich so it is really loud at night and feels a little shady at times. If you are not looking to spend a lot of time and just need a bed and a place to crash, it is not bad though.
Really difficult to find. Barely have any sign boards. Lights are switched off in the corridor so if you are coming at night it becomes a pain.
It is basically like a guest house or a home stay. The owner is a woman who is really nice but her husband is kind of rude.
This place is a proper ghetto. The location in downtown is pretty rough and full of homeless and druggie people. The breakfast at the hostel was just pancakes and nothing else. For $21 it is not worth it. You are better off finding a cheap hotel for like $35-40.
