Highly recommend Quetzalroo hostel. Marcos the owner loves his mother country and it shows with how passionately he speaks of it. He's informative, cool and overall easy going. I arranged airport pick-up through the hostel in advance for Q50 or $6. If you need free wifi at airport hit the tourism kiosk "Inguat" for password. Wifi works in the hostel kitchen and t.v. room only. A complimentary breakfast was made each morning and a free shuttle to the airport may be arranged.

Location is a bit tricky. The building is tucked behind a tattoo shop off Guadalupe St. It's connected to a Asian restaurant so be on the lookout for that. Staff was cool and friendly. Rooms are a decent size. Recommend installing hooks for jackets, etc.. Bathrooms are new but could use a little extra cleaning. Had a fridge in my room which was very nice. Breakfast includes: coffee, toast, peanut butter & jam, cereal, fruit – it was perfect to get the day rolling.

Excellent location. There is a bar inside the hostel that had a great atmosphere and was steps away from my room. Lockers are a bit small – think high school. Bathrooms & showers are large with plenty of space to move around. There were a bunch of spots to chill out and about around the building, too. ITS IN AN OLD FIRE HOUSE. Super cool!

Great location! Stay extremely friendly and helpful. Two computers on-site to use and updated kitchen. Bathrooms could be cleaner and unable to access wi-fi from room. Pricing was a little high for accommodations.

Reno, his mom and his wife were amazing! I felt like I was staying in a family members home. Very clean. Bedroom size is tight, but well worth it. The hostel is actually Reno's (owners) childhood home. Great location! Large lockers were available in each room and Reno let us keep our bags in his office after check-out. Room top, too!
