One of the very top places I stayed on my trip. A little more expensive, but well set-up and clean. Small details that I thought made a big difference: -Beds are built in to the wall, with ladders attached to the floor, so that you don't get bothered by the movements of your bunkmate getting up or tossing and turning. -A thin shelf with 2 power points and a small reading light that runs between the bed and the wall makes a fairly safe place to leave your wallet, phone etc, or a small bag.

Overall not a bad place to stay. Not much going on locally, so if you're looking for a night out you'll be heading elsewhere, but it's a good base to explore London from. Staff were friendly, showers were decent and fairly clean. A few notes: The rooms could be quite hot and stuffy even with a window open, especially when there's a few people in there, so be ready for that. Bunks are pretty rickety, you feel every movement of your bunkmate. Lockers under your bed will need a padlock.

2 key things that bothered me about this hostel: 1-Lack of power sockets: NONE in the rooms. I wasted a number of hours over the course of my brief stay waiting for things to charge because there was nowhere safe to leave them. A small thing maybe, but more people travel with devices that need charge and it's time to adapt. 2-Showers didn't drain properly, so you end up standing in dirty water an inch deep that has sat for several days as you shower. It was obvious that it hadn't been cleaned.

Not perfect but one of my favourite places that I stayed. Great vibe in the common area, people cooking big meals to share, cheap beer and a roof terrace overlooking the area, which is a colourful locale with great food, close to the supermarket and U-Bahn. Kreuzberg is where you want to be in Berlin right now. Big rooms cleaned daily, showers not as often. Internet was good, good sized lockers in rooms. Tricky place to find, the address is misleading - needs better instructions or signage.

Standard hostel, close to HBF and center of town. Bring your own lock for lockers. Showers could be cleaner but not too bad. Breakfast was decent.
