the last time i went here it was excellent, that's why i came back. Other than the common area, everything just was not as good as before. The staff weren't as friendly, the room wasn't as clean as before, the food was soso, but still some good cheap beer selection, so that a plus. Don't get me wrong, i would still recommend this place, just sad to see a good place heading downhill

this is a nice hostel, located at the last station of the no8 bus, so pretty convenient if you are travelling from and to the train or north bus station of dali. The rooms where clean, have ok food, the only thing i can complain about is the staff are not very consistent, there are 1-2 helpful ones, while the rest seems like they don't want to be bothered. Otherwise, it's clean and a great place to stay

the place is close to one of the metro stations, but relatively hard to find if you don't know any chinese, it's ok just for a night stay, if you are looking for a hostel environment you are better off looking elsewhere

The staff was very helpful, the location was near a subway station, and nearby there's a great street with some nice cafes, the only negative was there's a curfew for the common area, and the room I stayed in didnt receive the wifi very well

The hostel was kinda hard to find in the beginning, but the staff guided me on the phone from the nearest bus stop. The place is very clean and tidy, the food was nice, and also cheap local beer if you need a place to wind down in your pjs. The location is somewhat near the west lake, but kinda off to the side, so you do need to take the bus if you want to get out. I would stay here again if I do go back to hangzhou.

the place is just outside of the train station so it's very convenient if you are traveling through china by train, though it's not in the city centre you can still easily get around by bus. The staff also helped me book my stay up on the mountain, which was nice, and they can also arrange ride to the mountain for a fee. Lastly, the whole hostel is covered in travellers' writing in their trip and travel tips, which created a great atmosphere

This hostel was great, the architecture was beautiful, only the absence of lockers in the dorm was the downside, but I understand the difficulty in installing something like that while preserving the atmosphere.
