Relaxed hostel with great area for chilling. Very friendly and helpful staff - able to arrange a late check in after a delay at the border and happy to provide advice, in English, about local transport etc. The two bathrooms are at the other end of the property to the big dorm, and unfortunately almost always have a wet and dirty floor from all the foot traffic, despite regular cleaning. Fine for a single night stay.

Lovely, chilled hostel with friendly staff and other travellers. Clean facilities with lots of couches and hammocks to relax in. Had been really looking forward to using the balcony to view the volcano but unfortunately it was closed for renovation whilst we were there - hopefully should be open again soon. Decent WiFi and good shower temperature. Would stay again.

A nice enough place a few blocks from the main street. Friendly staff. Large dorm with night time AC and small/med sized lockers under the bed. A fine place to stay for a night or two whilst doing nearby activities.

A fantastic hostel in the old town with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Felt like a second home. Huge bathroom with warm water, sometimes limited. WiFi in common areas. Felt very safe as had to buzz and be let in the door, but no lockers. Would definitely return to stay here.

Friendly hostel in a good location one block from the main street in town. Decent security with front door code and reasonably sized lockers. Good temperature inside too. Shower pressure and temperature varied - apparently they were doing some work on it during our stay. Would be great if the kitchen was open earlier than 8.30am for those leaving on the earlier flights.

A really nice, relaxing place with a good vibe. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast of freshly cooked eggs, vegetables, toast and fresh fruit. Be aware that high people:showers/toilets ratio may mean a bit of a wait in the morning. Would definitely stay again.

20th Sep 2016

Clean and cosy place, with basic breakfast and decent kitchen facilities. Very secure with key and code entrance, as well as big lockers. About 10 mins walk from pedistrian/cafe area and further to the main square. Staff were helpful with assisting to arrange tours and biking - very informative email on booking. Only downside of our stay was the friendly hostel dog, Marguerite, whining all night whilst her owners were away (multiple nights), limiting sleep.

Thanks for the review. Sorry about Marga. We had no idea she cried when alone at night. We do now and she will not be left. Safe Travels

Hostel in a big colonial building with character. Very close to the main plaza, supermarket and plenty of restaurants. Very helpful staff. Showers - hot but no hooks or reachable shelves outside to put towels etc. No keys and easy to walk through front door but have to go passed reception and decent sized lockers in rooms.

A fantastically artsy hostel with friendly staff and relaxed vibe. Good location just off the main road with through town, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Hot water available, although temp variable at times. Moderate sized lockers available which is good as front door open and no keys for rooms. Free BBQ one night we were there - unfortunately we weren't told in advance so had already eaten. Would stay again, but not at festival time as prices increase.

Beautifully decorated and very clean hostel about ten mins walk to the central square. Staff were very accomodating and let us check in early after our night bus. Also seemed very helpful at helping us book a bus, however there were some discrepancies between what we were told about the service and what actually happened, as well as the price (even taking into account the commission of 15Bs pp charged for booking). Shower always hot but ours was practically over the toilet - not ideal.

Fantastic small hostel with helpful staff who are really invested in helping you enjoy your stay in La Paz and the rest of Bolivia - thanks Charlie, Diego and Jamie. Helped us set up death road mountain biking with a safe but fun company. Hot showers, consistent and reliable WiFi. Basic breakfast but with freshly squeezed orange juice. Lovely courtyard with relaxed atmosphere. Disappointed that we couldn't stay here longer!

Nice enough place for a short stay. Really good to have complimentary tea available all day. Only a couple of blocks from the main pedestrian street, restaurants etc. Easy to book tours and bus tickets from the reception staff. Bathrooms are quite small and lockers only for small things, definitely wouldn't fit a bag.

This was a fantastic little hostel, with an amazing host - Patricia. We felt welcome from start until finish, and we're able to obtain plenty of useful information regarding taxis, tour companies and local facilities. Only a 25 min walk to Huacachina, and 4-5sol taxi ride to the bus stations. Would loved to have stayed longer and would definitely recommend.

Pariwana Hostel Lima, Lima, Peru

18th Aug 2016

Pariwana Hostel would be great if you wanted to party, not to sleep (even with the provided earplugs). Initial airport transfer was an hour late, then on arriving at the hostel at about midnight, the staff were more interested in their phones than checking us in and to our room - no keys provided/no locks. Very patchy WiFi, even in common areas, and variable shower temperatures. Good bar & restaurant, good location though.

A great place to stay in Montevideo with extremely helpful staff and a homely feel to it. A little chilly at times but good when the fire is going. The asado is a great experience but took a bit longer to cook than advertised (11 rather than 10pm) so would recommend having an evening snack. Also not very clear that is a hostel from the outside - eventually found a little symbol next to intercom to be buzzed in. Overall, a very friendly place and would definitely stay here again.

Thanks for your review!! I really appreciatte your comments!! Sorry for the late asado, as it's cooked in the grill out of wood, it might take a little bit longer in some ocasions :( I'm glad you've enjoyed your time here!! Cheers! Matías

More power-points/electricity plugs in each room would be helpful. Was in an 8 bed dorm with only 4 sockets, 2 of which were inaccessible due to them being right behind a person's bed. Was able to use the sockets in the main facilities but then have to sit there and supervise the phone/camera etc as security there is minimal.
