Happy House Hostel

Travelled as couple. Great location b/w city centre and nice suburb. Private double room was really spacious and much nicer than we expected for hostel prices. Fully equipped kitchen, and nice common areas. Good breakfast and helpful informative staff who booked all our tours for us no worries. Relaxed atmosphere, by no means a party hostel but that suited us perfectly. Negatives room 9 shower needs servicing, it drained very slowly, and ground floor wifi very sketchy but other floors fine.

Travelled as a couple. Great location and atmosphere, the included breakfast was basic but nice, but breakfast ordered from the menu was delicious and very cheap anyway so i would recommend doing that. Our private double room was really spacious and more luxurious than we expected for a hostel. It was cleaned and made up everyday and the shower was divine. Free wifi, free coca tea and activities every day. Negatives - the reception was always super busy, perhaps a bit understaffed.

Great location and cool little hostel. Not for party goers but definitely for those who want a good base to go exploring. comfortable and quite a large private room, with great shower. Decent breakfast and well equipped kitchen. Staff really kind and helpful. Only negative is that we arrived late at night and our transfer guy who i think was a fill in got a little lost but we got there in the end. Otherwise zero complaints. Definitely recommend.

Ô de Casa Hostel

Stayed during WC. Were located across the road from the main building in a 2nd space. Hostel hosted WC party & staff allowed their friends to use the bath rm adjacent to our sectioned off & isolated room w/out informing us. This quickly escalated to everyone off the street using our bath rm w/ no security monitoring the entrance gate. No action was taken on the night so we complained again next day & it was dealt with really well. Otherwise funky hostel, great breaky, and location.

Loved our stay here. Couple in private room shared bathroom. Great location stones throw from beach, bank, restaurants, and shops. Great breaky and fully equipped kitchen. Great staff who were really helpful and great guys, booked tours for us no dramas and even joined us in there own time. Really social hostel but not a party hostel by any means, just perfectly chilled and nice open bar area/courtyard. Our dbl private was adequate and well kept. No complaints only recommendations.

Great location in the pelo area. Really funky little hostel w/ nice atmosphere. Great breaky and really helpful staff w/ plenty of info on what to do during your stay. Was not cheap due to the world cup but no complaints as our dbl private room was incredible for hostel standards. We had a huge room w/ a hammock and sitting area in it and the ensuite was adequate. Well kept rooms, no common kitchen and not a large common area but we preferred to explore so that did not bother us. Loved our stay.

Travelled as couple. Great location and helpful staff. Diego and Gabriel were awesome. Common area nice and had chilled atmosphere, kitchen fully equipped. Private double, spacious with great little ensuite made up everyday. Hostel ran spanish classes and other activities during the week and staff were able to book other tours for us no worries. Not a party hostel at all but the rooftop bar is open til late if you don't want to go out and experience BA's amazing nightlife. Negatives....???

Iguassu Eco Hostel

Foz do Iguacu, Brazil

Travelled as couple. First impressions daunting but once inside the vicinity it was nice and very quiet. Basic hostel but had everything we needed. Private room was spacious and bathroom big. Location was great for us, near the airport, just a 200m walk to the entrance of the Brazilian side of Iguassu falls and to the local bus which takes you to the city of Iguassu. Breakfast was nice and they offered dinner as well. Not a party hostel at all but suited us for the three nights we were there.
