Room smelled of damp. The place generally needs a bit of attention, especially when compared with other hostels we have stayed such as in Ancud. The difference in quality is miles apart for not much difference in cost. On the plus side staff were friendly and helpful and it was located near the town centre.
Small clean friendly hostel, recommend.
Nice and very clean with good bag storage. Would have preferred more flexible cooking arrangements.
Nice friendly place. Helpful staff, undergoing a nice renovation which did not detract from visit. Would recommend.
Good hostel which I would highly recommend. Good room size with A/C and large lockers, though our room was starting to show some signs of ware.
Watch out for the door step which is at two different heights, I think they will wait until someone seriously hurt themselves before sorting it! Was in room one which is just outside the hostel front door, so you need to be buzzed in at night to go to the toilet, not ideal. Kitchen was pretty small. Apart from these gripes the place was okay, bathroom was large and clean.
All of the favela, with none of the chic. Very disappointing, two many beds too few facilities most of which require people to walk through the main dorm. The air con was unable to cool the room down, hence it was like trying to sleep in an oven. No where to put your stuff. Really badly organised. If your organising a tour in the Argentinian side, book it elsewhere, or better still just take the local buses. In summary stay somewhere else, to avoid the disappointment.
A small very friendly hostel in a good location. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and really make the hostel. Ended up staying four nights and would definitely recommend the place. Only slight negative is that the 9 person dorm is really only big enough for a 6 person maximum.
