Hostel of the Sun

Naples, Italy

This hostel was really great. Definitely the most surprising, and best value for money on our whole European trip. We only had one night but I would have been happy to stay more. Napoli has a bit of a shifty reputation, which we definitely felt around the train station, but once we found and checked into Hostel of the Sun, our whole perspective of the city changed - especially thanks to Berry who gave us excellent tips for making the most of the cool city. I would definitely recommend it here.

Mosaic Hostel

Rome, Italy

Mosaic was a good deal. It's close to Termini station, so not too far to lug bags if you're travelling around a lot. It's maybe a 20-ish minute walk to get the main tourist attractions (Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, etc). It's basic, but if you're there to see the city rather than pay a fortune, then it's all you need. It's clean, safe, there's a tv in the common room and breakfast daily. We did a really good walking tour with one of the staff (sorry, can't remember name), but would recommend. :)
