Vietnam Inn Saigon

No laundry service - although it is advertised in the lifts and lobby. Bar/restaurant is good - lovely food and pool table. Girl on tour desk is awful. Wouldnt book our bus ticket for us, despite us asking, until the morning we left-said we didnt need to then couldnt get an early bus as we wanted as all sold out except for one leaving in 20mins. She said it took 10mins to get to station in a taxi however it took us 40. If we had trusted her we would have paid for the tickets and then missed bus!

Lovely staff, great location in old quarter - easy to walk to bars. Very expensive to get them to wash your clothes. Watch out for fresh fruit - tiny bugs on it most days. Staff were excellent - really helpful with booking tickets etc. Great spa nearby - orchid spa! More like a hotel, not easy to meet people. Great free breakfast. Would reccomend if you aren't worried about meeting people and want a good nights sleep.

Yi Dou Hostel

Yichang, China

We only stayed here for the 3 gorges dam day boat trip. Although the hostel lacks atmosphere it was clean, beds very comfy and well located to get a 5min bus to the port. Excellent place to eat (?fuyan) 50m right out of hostal, good reflexology down street opposite 25rmb for 30mins. Easy to get train tickets as office nearby. No map provided by hostel and need to ask for loo roll, bin empty etc. No food available even though it says has a cafe but cheap beer for sale there! Good base in Yichang.

Han Tang Inn Hostel

Xi'an, China

We were arriving in Xi'an outside of the allocated pickup times for the hostal so emailed in advance to see if they could still come and pick us up which they said they would come and get us, however it wasnt communicated that they wouldnt come until the allocated time started an hour and half after we had arrived. Aside from that a good hostel, good terracotta army tour and excellent dumpling party! Staff are very helpful and speak good english! Bathrooms clean and dont smell unlike many places
