Reception speaks almost no english and is unable to get a taxi reservation two days in advance, minibar is empty and can't be cooled down brcause power is cut when roomkey is removed. Window had no seal and pointed to the main street, so it was loud all night. Hairdryer broke down after 20sec of use. Shower head was broken, all silicon gaskets in the bathroom were stained with mould and there were strange brown streaks behind the toilet. To cut it short: Never. Ever. Again.

Wada Hostel in Guilin

Guilin, China
100%

I loved it and stayed an additional two nights. The Wada lies a bit remote, but therefore a bit quieter, and it's still only a 10min low pace walk to the train station. The staff girls are the best ever! They speak a quite good English, are always happy and very very VERY helpful, no matter if you need advice on a bike trip round the city or your mobile stopped working. To put it like Schwarzenegger: I'll be back!
