Decent hostel with very comfortable beds, good location and free kayaks, surfboards and shuttle bus. Only thing that's missing is a washing line to hang wet clothes after the beach
This is a nice chilled out hostel to stay for a few days, comfortable dorms, decent communal areas and decent sized pool. Only thing that lets it down is the kitchen size and layout are so awkward that it becomes difficult as soon as there are 3 people in the kitchen. Stay there but try and avoid cooking
Unfortunately the whole place was quite dirty when we stayed, corridors smelt of puke and sweat, room was very messy (granted that is highly driven by occupants), bathrooms and kitchen were dirty (the latter seemed to be suffering from perpetual puddles in multiple areas). The bedroom had small lockers for valuables but half of these were broken. The crowd is young and the hostel massive but having stayed in similar places i know it's not impossible to maintain basic cleanliness. Probably worth
This is a stop gap hostel for people travelling through Auckland airport. As such it has no atmosphere but the place is clean and facilities are basic but adequate to stay one night, if staying longer or to visit Auckland I'd recommend to stay downtown
Large hostel but broken out across 3 houses which makes it more homely. Clean with good facilities, only negative is that its a bit of a walk to CBD (approx 10 mins)
Nicely located in middle of hokitika. Functional and has all facilities needed for a stopover but probably not a place i would stay longer term as lacking in atmosphere a bit possibly due to it being located above a giant jade store
Just reopened with brand new facilities, very clean and functional (sockets behind each bed)
Good location in Aucklands university area, good base to explore Auckland from Hostel is clean and has decent facilities. It is broken into a series of self contained apartments which can make socialising a bit difficult for anybody looking to meet people.
Very chilled out hostel in walking distance to lovely beach. Stayed in twin room which was clean and a good size. Common areas and kitchen are conducive to socialising with other travellers. Hostel staff is very helpful and keen to make sure people staying have a good time.
location best hostel breakfast in Brasil, more choice than I have seen in any other hostel great little bar where barman Paul makes mean caipirinhas - crammed common area and dorms - has a roof terrace where it was possible to hang wet clothes from the beach when I stayed previously, however this has now been locked which results in everybody having to hang their wet beach clothes over beds in rooms not great
beautiful hostel in welcoming setting central common area around pool with hammocs and open kitchen clean and spacious dorms good breakfast - location not as central (although only 10 mins walk to historic roads)
Great location, around in the room) good breakfast ~rooms are decent albeit crammed (I'd prefer dorms with more than 4 beds in favor of being able to turn - not much of a hostel atmosphere/ opportunity to meet people - restricted access to kitchen making it difficult to cook yourself - staff members don't seem to communicate you were constantly sent from one person to the next to get questions answered or had all staff members ask you the same questions
Clean and friendly hostel in good location staff common areas fast wifi - dorms a bit crammed - nowhere to hang wet gear after coming back from the beach
Great little hostel with very helpful staff, in particular Anne the volunteer.
Nice hostel with excellent staff and great laid back atmosphere. Ended up staying longer than planned.
Nice hostel less than 5 mins walk to the el poblano bar area, but far enough away from the noise if unwanted. Hostel dorms are clean, only thing that is lacking a bit is security - it's easy to get to the dorms from restaurant/bar area which is open to public, a gate inbetween would be great. location value for money bar downstairs - dorm area not secured from public (dorms can be locked though and each bed has a locker) - could use a few more bathrooms when busy
Clean dorms with comfortable beds and ensuite bathrooms. Nice common areas and very good breakfast. Would stay again
Great hostel with great staff and great facilities: kitchen, loads of places indoors and outdoors to relax. We had a great welcome from the staff amd very helpful. Just bare in mind that it is very popular and therefore really busy. People party late and also leave early for Colca canyon excursions so not a quiet place to sleep.

Really comfy hostel with nice clean rooms and great staff, makes an excellent base in puno for a few days very clean breakfast with great variety good Internet connection nice common area helpful staff lockers at reception - could use an additional bathroom for dorms - kitchen could have more equipment
Great value for money, staff is amazing in particular Isabel who was superhelpful, we stayed 3 nights instead of 1 which was originally planned. Approx 10 minutes walk into main tourist area and same distance to bus terminal, very convenient. super clean comfortable beds fast wifi plug sockets in locker to charge -no cooking facilities
Hostel is approx 15 minutes walk from bus terminal. Dorms are on smaller side but clean, although hostel is at a crossroads it was fairly quiet common areas reasonably fast wifi movie projector and DVD collection pool table - big warderobes but no lockers in rooms, few lockers available in hallway - few bathrooms - kitchen quite sparsely equipped
Approx 20 mins walks from bus terminal in a good location rooms face away from the road which makes it quiet to sleep. Hostel had just opened and new facilities were being added every day, I'd expect this hostel to become better by the day. breakfast - including amazing pancakes happy hour lockers fit backpacks - wifi connection was poor and only worked in common areas - few common areas (looked like more were being added) - little storage space in kitchen
Stayed at punto sur for 1 night, located in street most hostels are in which is a just under ARS 40 taxi ride from the bus terminal each dorm with own bathroom value for money staff provides discount vouchers for restaurants in town - not very many common areas - wifi is fairly slow
Rancho grande was being renovated so we were in the hotel next door. Whilst it was a nice surprise to have a hotel room the excitement soon went when we realised the bedsheets in the room we were given were used despite the room having just been made up and the kitchen was quite dirty. Shame as the place would otherwise have been ok
Spent 3 nights at Cruz del Sur. Hostel is very busy and a bit crowded but that makes part of an amazing atmosphere. Staff is fantastic, Ana gave awesome advice on trips based on time/budget and other places travellers have already seen in Patagonia. Would stay here again, highly recommended for single travellers who will find other likeminded people. + atmosphere + staff + sink to handwash clothes - common areas are quite small but contribute to atmo - internet only works in common areas
