Casa Gracia Barcelona Hostel, Barcelona, Spain

Good hostel, however the slow and occasionally dysfunctional internet is inexcusable. The neighborhood is ok, but not a whole lot going on. There are some ok bars and restaurants nearby, but nothing great. For those you need to take a taxi or walk a ways. Also no individual lights or power sockets on the beds, so you need to get out of bed to check your charging phone on the other side of the room. On the bright side, Clio, the concierge is fantastic, as is most the rest of the staff.

Very good hostel in a good location. The Wi-Fi was very fast and available throughout the building in all rooms and common areas. Possibly the best internet service I've had in hostels throughout Spain. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to bars and restaurants, easy access to night life with ppl offering drink specials in the streets as you wander around at night. Only down side was the common area on the roof isn't anything to write home about and no proper kitchen, just a sink and microwave

Good hostel in a great city. For most part staff was helpful, but a couple had the tendency to talk down to guests (ex. girl with died blonde hair at the reception). They arrange next day tix to Alhambra which is super convenient given the difficulty of getting tix without booking in advance. A good mix of free tours are offered. Only negatives were the occasionally spotty WiFi and the rooms aren't very spacious.

Good hostel. Clean, good facilities, fast Wi-Fi, but not many guests to interact with. I personally enjoyed the fact it wasn't crowded, but may not be ideal for extroverts. Located in a loud area, but the rooms are furnished with soundproof balconies to the outside and a.c. if keeping the windows closed makes it hot.

Very very good hostel. Clean, sociable and the owners who run the place are very nice and helpful. It's hard to find a complaint about this hostel, the owners really made an effort to create a fun comfortable environment with plenty to do. Only downside is the 6 bed dorm was a bit small, but it's Seville and I doubt you'll find more space elsewhere. Do the walking tours also. The guide, Medhi, is a bit too enthusiastic and occasionally inappropriate but totally entertaining and informative.

Pretty straight forward youth hostel. Late check in (4pm) is annoying and would be nice to have lockable lockers but otherwise it's clean, cheap, and well located. Probably the best option in Tavira.

Really good hostel, especially after staying at one of the party hostels, which was filthy. Hi youth hostel was clean and accommodating. Also out was a nice break from all the loud Aussies and English people, instead had a nice mix of Portuguese and Spanish speakers in addition to English speakers. Great value. Only downside was the internet Wi-Fi didn't reach most rooms and was generally show.

Breakfast is lame, just jam and toast, but it is included with the low room rate so I shouldn't complain. It's a sort of you-have-the-key-so-come-and-go-as-you-please hostel. Ask reception about the megalith tours, pricey at €25, but very interesting.

Had the private room. It was nice, but a bit close to the common area so not completely quiet. Good value though.

Terrific hostel. A little loud in the streets outside at night, but sound proof Windows do a good job of keeping it quiet. A truly unique and awesome building.

Downtown River Hostel, San Sebastian, Spain

Terrible hostel. I stayed in a few in San Sebastian and this one was the worst. The location is a bit far from where you want to go (beaches and old town), the owners are no where to be found and leave the running of the hostels to 20 year olds who just want a few place to stay but care nothing about service. When they say in the advertisement that they thought of everything in seeing up a hostel, what they meant was every way to save money (charging for towel rental, showers that run for 15 sec
