Small hostel with a family feel. Staff was super helpful, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the bathrooms were clean. Very quiet at night, which made it easy to get a good night of sleep.
With comfortable bunk beds and hot water with good pressure for showers in the ensuite bathroom, this was a great spot to rest after hiking for four days on the Inca Trail. The atmosphere was a bit lacking, but that's probably because I was there during the low season and was alone in a 4-bed dorm room. Food at the bar was reasonably priced, especially considering how overpriced everything in Aguas Calientes normally is. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The dorm rooms, while not super spacious, are very nice and clean. Mattresses are big and comfy, beds are very solid, you don't even notice when someone on the top bunk moves or uses the ladder. The plywood surrounding each bunk is a nice touch for privacy, and the personal outlet and light are quite practical. Items at the pub/bar are reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If there was also a kitchen for guests to cook their own food, it would be the perfect hostel.
Overall a good hostel, but the staff was a bit clueless at times. Dorm room was a bit cramped, mattress of average comfort. The toilets and showers were super clean. My only major complaint is that the kitchen was very poorly equipped.
Great location, nice and clean, comfy beds and probably the best comforter I've ever seen in a hostel. Wish I could have stayed longer!
