This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in! Awesome location, super clean, friendly staff, and great vibes. We met so many new friends here, and had a great place to call home for a few days! Thank you again!!! Cannot wait to be back in Japan and back at Kaisu!

We loved staying here!! Staying in a Homestay means feeling like you're a part of the family. Everyone was so welcoming and kind, and always helped us with anything we needed. Towels for the beach, bike rentals, tips on places to go... It was perfect. Breakfast was so good (and inexpensive!) and the location was within walking distance of the old town. Thank you again for letting us stay here! We loved it!

This hostel is in an AWESOME location!! We stayed in a private room that felt like a hotel- breakfast in the morning was the first free breakfast I have actually enjoyed at a hostel! The staff are SO NICE! We don't have anything bad to say about this place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat- everything was within walking distance (for the most part), and we LOVED the little cafe next door! Now I want to go back....

The staff were really helpful and friendly, and our room was a great escape from the busy city! However, the hostel is about a 20 minute metro ride (+walk/tuk tuk) to just about anywhere in the city. We loved the place, but it was too far out of the way to pop in and out of throughout the day like we have done with other hostels in the past.

Oxotel Hostel, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Oxotel is gorgeous! It felt like a 5 star hotel and was always really clean and welcoming. Location was a little out of the way though, and could have used a mini fridge in the rooms- place was REALLY hot when we weren't there to turn our air on (because it was open to the outside) and our water bottles were never cold. Not a very social atmosphere, but a really nice place to get out of the busy streets and relax.

I have stayed at Generators in Venice and Copenhagen, and was really excited to stay at the one in London. This is not what I would call a Generator. There wasn't a bathroom on my floor (6), no outlets or lights by the beds, no mirrors in the rooms, no outlets in the bathroom (good luck doing your hair in either),

Definitely more like a hotel than a hostel. Not a good place to meet people, but if you are in the middle of your trip and looking to relax for a night, this will do the trick. We had a four bed "dorm"- which would have been super awkward if other people ended up sharing with us (no one did). It was a bunk bed with a double bed... perfect for a family, awkward for a bunch of strangers.

Rooms and location are good. However, the place is FULL of 14 year olds who seem to be on their first sleep over ever. The bar area is full of them hanging out, the lobby is as well, and you hear them knocking on each other's doors ALL THE TIME. Not a good place to meet people, and there is no soap to wash your hands with in the rooms. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay while backpacking, it is the definition of a "youth hostel".

Hello there. Thanks for the compliments regarding the room and location. We do also cater to schoolgroups, but always try to keep the balance with individual bookings. October this year was quite busy with groups, but also lots of indi-travellers. @ check-in we give everybody a piece of paper with information. On it is also written we kindly ask everyone to be quiet in the rooms after 22:00 o'clock. Reception can always be informed and we can talk/ask groups to quiet it down after 22:00.

I LOVE generator hostels! If you have the choice between generator and wombats- ALWAYS choose generator! We checked in early, were upgraded to a 6 bed dorm instead of 8.. Hostel is huge, but staff is amazing! Bocce ball, bike rentals, great location... I would definitely recommend this property! We had a great time!

Clean place to stay, and in a really convenient location. Annoying that there is such a late check in and early check out, but that's how all wombats are.

Honestly this was one of my favourite hostels! I was sad we only stayed for one night.. BEST staff who are just out to have a good time! Free beers, water, coffee, espresso....! What more can you ask for? Location is perfect, rooms are super clean, nothing bad to say at all!

Hostel itself was good- the lockers were a great size, we stayed in a 6bed dorm, and it wasn't crowded at all. I just wish I had researched Interlaken itself a little more, because the city has been taken over by Asians, and it doesn't feel like you're in the Switzerland that you passed through on the train. We did a day trip to Lucern, and I wish we had stayed in that city instead. Switzerland is a gorgeous country, and Interlaken is a tourist trap. Hostel was good- and the staff was fantastic.

Great stay at the Generator! Awesome time-each bed had it's own nook, so it didn't feel like you were staying with that many others. Lockers underneath the bunks which fit our backpacks w/o a problem. Great hostel, a bit away from the main land, but overall that wasn't an issue. Make sure you buy the 3day pass once you arrive, as each trip is 7 euros, and the 3day was 24..we used it all the time. Great bar area- fantastic place to meet other travelers! Would def stay here again.

This is the cutest place I have ever stayed! My boyfriend and I stayed in the two single rooms (the beds are not big enough for two people). There are grape vines growing over the patio, and just came into harvest before we got there! Great place and Diego is amazing! Provided beach towels as well as shower towels, and the place was immaculate. I would definitely recommend this.

The room itself was very standard- the washroom/ shower area wasn't fantastic but it did it's job. However- what made me love this place was the atmosphere. The staff was amazing, the bar downstairs is even better! Food is served all the time, so when we needed a rest we sat on the patio and had a couple of cheap beers. 5 min walk from the terminal as well. Basic rooms, but I would definitely stay here again!
