Kinlay House Dublin

Dublin, Ireland

Location is good as in you're right in the center. Cool building, has potential. Booked a double bed private room and ended up with bunk beds but bottom bed was a full so it was ok. Window was extremely drafty so the room was freezing. Weird vibe, mixture of groups of old men and families with 3-6 yr old children roaming around. Kitchen is poor, they take away toasters etc after breakfast. Stove is odd. Staff treats guests like immature high schoolers.

+1 = 101% Vagabonds is by far the best hostel I have ever stayed at. Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Chill setup. Bathrooms are actually private bathrooms with own showers, brand new, always clean and stocked. Breakfast pretty good, many jams/spreads to choose from and cereals, coffee, juice. Always stuff going on at night and many people to meet. Cannot think of one bad thing to say. Shoutouts to Pete, Frankie, and Richie. Thanks for everything! Wish we could've spent more time there!

Sli Na Mara

Galway, Ireland

Great spot right in the Claddagh area, close enough to the city but a nice place away from the noise and right by the water. Easy walk to Salthill as well. Bridie was so helpful, gave us amazing recommendations for places to eat etc. Breakfast always good, made to order. Clean and homey. Very comfortable bed. Cannot think of one bad thing to say about this place.

St Christopher's Greenwich

London, England

Essentially just a place to have a bed. Hostel is attached to a bar so the staff are dealing with those customers and can rarely get to you. Didn't even have maps to provide and staff couldn't really answer any questions. Hot water in showers was spotty. Bathrooms are just one long set of stalls and sink for both male and female. Common room not really a place to hang out, just a weird spot in the basement. I hung out in the bar mostly which is the only place could get wifi. Breakfast good/norm

Pars Tailor's Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

One of the first hostels I have stayed in and I absolutely loved Tailor's. The staff were amazing and so helpful with recommendations, directions, whatever you needed. Some would even end their long day shift and then take us out to bars and nightclubs after and then be back working early the next morning. Hostel was extremely clean-- I would come home to night staff mopping the floors every night. Hot shower, clean free linens. Surprisingly comfortable beds. About a 10/15 min walk to La Rambla.
