Stayed in a private room again - much better than first time, very clean and bright room, I was shocked at how big the room was! Room cleanliness was immaculate as was bathroom cleanliness in room.. Not much to say really , nice staff and good location, internet is not free but the room does have a TV! Luggage storage £2 a day :)

Don't expect too much from here so buy a room when it's cheap - this time round my room was filthy and someone alerted me to their bed-bug problem... I wouldn't leave my bag in the luggage room... There are small safes in the room which you need a padlock for and the bathroom cleanliness is ok. The kitchen cleanliness however is atrocious.... The TV in the TV room doesn't work (nor does the DVD player) and it's not comfy ... Didn't use the wifi but I'm sure it's okay... Location is central...

Stayed in an 18 dorm which was surprisingly intimate for it's size - very clean toilets and showers for that size room, atmosphere was a bit dry but the staff are lovely and the food in the pub downstairs is lovely especially for the price. They also give you discount coupons which makes it more worthwhile .... Security is good but I'm always sceptical in pubs/bars as someone could just walk in behind you...I got my room for £8 and thought it was good value for money....

,ice place with a nice atmosphere, could do with more power sockets in different areas of the room ... Large rooms and clean bedding but a poor tv room... Showers are spacious annd overall cleanliness is okay...If you're not too picky you can go here, if you can get the rooms cheap it's good value for money

Good location, with nice staff - some of the 'extras' can be broken - once the hot water wasn't working in shower, however usually it's good. I would go back...

Nice canteen - very spacious and you can use Wifi there. Wifi costs extra and the drinks from the vending machine are slightly 'expensive' however the chocolate/crisps and ice cream are good value for money! Rooms in building two are lovely and spacious, more than enough room for everyone and everything, many bathrooms in that building also... Beautiful 'grounds' again and nice staff! This is also a good location for people who like to go jogging in the morning ....

The toilets aren't maintained enough for a hostel with so many people (or with so few toilets)... Especially after shower time. The mattresses look quite awful but the bedding is clean. People are cool, you get a mixed bunch. Location is good, it's in a more residential road in W2 although you're still near the shops. The Manager here is lovely and the staff are quite helpful and friendly.Wifi can be temperamental (apparently) and I didn't check out the kitchen. Recommend when cheap for 1\2 days.

I wrote a review a few days back for Astor Hyde Park that was actually meant for Astor Quest so I'll start again... This is a brilliant hostel, can sometimes be a bit on the 'dear side' but it's super clean, lovely staff, the most comfortable duvets and great location.. Negative points are the stairs and if you're not in an en-suite, people don't really respect the 'only for room X' rule, however, the showers in shared are huge! They sometimes run out of paddlocks but all in all they're great...

Again very happy with my stay here... Very clean bedding, you know the mattreses aren't disgusting underneath as they put at least (I think) one mattress cover.... Always feel 'clean' when I stay here... Cool staff too and scenic location!

2nd time I've stayed here... Lovely staff, good location, bit of a small room, was quite difficult to comfortably unpack or even open suitcase.... Nice room mates this time round :) Bathrooms could be a little more maintained , good Wifi in sitting room... clean sheets ... and I saw the communal area being cleaned so am happy!

A 'busy' type of hostel - busy localtion, busy common area.. Staff at reception are lovely, playful... Door security on the other hand is rude and even lacking respect. Although security is good - you have to show your room key at the door, the attitude of the security guard should be checked. Rooms are small and clean(ish), shared bathrooms not so clean but I was impressed by the shower cleanliness. People there are friendly, I think it would be easy to make new friends. Quite a 'young' crowd.

I did have a slight hiccup when I was here this time round with my booking, however I e-mailed head office in Germany whom sorted it out very nicely for me (and promptly). Since the problem has been sorted out , I don't want to bad-mouth anyone! Still a good hostel, clean, good location , great value for money especially when you can get the room below £15...

This is definitely a good hostel for schools etc as it's a very secure and 'orderly' hostel, I enjoyed my stay however I usually prefer a bit more leeway. It's beautifully decorated and the staff are helpful and friendly. This is a good location, buses to take you to Oxford St and about 5min from a shopping centre. The security is very good and that's also why it's good for schools.. The beds and bedding are clean (the loos could do with a bit more cleaning)... Good vibe to it.... A nice place...

The bus stop outside can get you to Oxford St in about 15min in good traffic, very pleasant area with nice staff. Rooms are spacious and clean (one of the cleanest hostels in my opinion). The bathrooms are small but spacious shower. Wifi in the rooms is a good plus and the rooms are bright. When you can get this hostel 'cheap' it's very good value for money. I was happy with my stay here...

Nice 'vibe' to this place, felt it instantly. Sort of cosy and vibrant at the same time. Other customers are the only 'negative' here but that's not AQs fault. Staff are lovely, the kicthen has a fridge you can store your food in and cook and although I didn't use it when I went I saw people cooking with pans etc and I saw it being cleaned :) ... Don't know if I'm the right 'clientele' for this place as I'm moving in between flats however I was still made to feel welcome and enjoyed it! Cheers

The ONLY thing that I really have a comment about for this hostel is the cleanliness of the showers and bathroom (shared). The showers downstairs, although very spacious (plus point) are not very clean (negative point). This is such a shame as clean toilets + showers would have literally made it perfect. Brilliant location, brilliant receptionists, lovely room mates (although one of them had a smelly towel hanging from his top bunk onto my bottom one eurghh) However this isn't hostel fault..

Pretty much a positive revue.. I do have to say, I stayed at this hostel 3 or 4 times, first time was lovely, 2nd and 3rd time (or 3rd and 4th) I had some very funny room mates (there were 4 of them in the room when I arrived and when I entered they were shocked to see that the receptionist had let someone else into the 12 bed dorm as they were a group "and had been told it would only be them". Then I was snapped at the following time for unpacking my bag in the night ...) Not YHA's fault though

Good location and staff (although there was a bit of conflicting information on luggage holding)-I was in a single private -the room was clean however for a private room could have been done to higher standards (there was hair and dust on the floor of room and bathroom-also dusty around window sills). It's good value for money for an ensuite private however small things (like cleanliness) are easy to fix and increase customer satisfaction and peace of mind ten fold. TV in room is very nice touch
