A nice place with a cool atmosphere to meet people. Expensive but you are paying for the pool and social vibe. Needs breakfast included for the price as possible to get private rooms for less money elsewhere in town.
The food on sale is WAY to expensive. The showers need fixing (broken door locks, blinds, etc. Some of the computers are broken.
No breakfast. Expensive for what you get.
Really lovely hostel in Wicker Park area of Chicago. Away from the main sites but on the blue line so they are easily accessible. The atmosphere and price makes it a good alternative to the one hostel in downtown (HI). Staff were excellent, especially Meg who was friendly Nd helpful and always had a smile on her face. Recommended.
Lovely place and in a fantastic location for a good price, HOWEVER it is a hotel not a hostel. As such it is all but impossible to meet people. There is no area to hang out, watch TV, play pool etc. Just a crummy breakfast room open at breakfast time. OK for a night or two to do the downtown region, but you will most likely be alone for your stay unless you luck out in the room.
A nice enough place but a little out of the centre of the old city. Air con did not work but was fixed. Hot tub on roof was not working and there were no computers to use. Small but nice enough breakfast. OK place but a little expensive for what it was.
Air con only on from 8 or 9 pm every night. Ridiculous. Room had no fans and windows did not fully open. Litterally impossible to stay in without the AC. I was sweating buckets. Made hostel not great as could not chill in room after hot sweaty day outside. Common area tiny and not overly comfortable - metal chairs not sofas etc.
No breakfast was a shame. Needs lockers for bags and valuables.
A busy sweaty hostel with very little character. Not a good vibe and did not enjoy my stay.
A very nice, small hostel, located in the centre of the downtown region. Lovely owner and a nice relaxing place to meet people.
Bad: No breakfast Wifi did not work for 3 days Toilets not cleaned in dorms often enough (bin overflowing with toilet paper, no toilet paper) No fan in the dormitory and ceiling fan broken. Didn't seem to engage with bar crowd as much as other Lokis. Good: Great pool Right by best part of the beach Cheap bar OK priced food
Amazing staff and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great place to chill out with comfy sofas, cable TV, DVDs etc. Very basic breakfast. Hot dormitory. Main shower room has pathetic pressure (others available). Overall recommended! I really liked it.
The three brothes who run the place are great and give lots of information on the various tours and trekking routes available. No breakfast. Costs more if you reserve.
Amazing staff and lovely hostel with areas to hangout and talk to other guests. TV with cable and films available too. Loved it. Price is reasonable too. Downsides are basic breakfast and wifi that does not really reach the bedrooms. But in any case recommended!
Lovely small hostel. Nice atmosphere with cool lounge area with sofas and cable TV. Only breakfast was poor - two bread rolls with jam and tea.
A nice friendly small hostel. Basic breakfast. Poor wifi (doesn't reach bedrooms and not super quick, but OK). Only two showers and the bathrooms were dirty. But super cheap for Miraflores so you really cannot complain for the price.
Nice new place with awesome owners and nice staff. No computers to use, but had my own anyway. Bed average comfort and only one pillow and blanket - but was able to get more from empty beds. Plenty of electrical sockets and great wifi.
A great super cheap choice. Little atmosphere, but out of season so to be expected. Once a few cool people arrived even this improved.
Wifi was appaling - dropped out every few minutes. Nice enough place but pretty quiet.
Basic hostel but covers all the basics OK. No breakfast and tiny dorms, but great for the price.
A nice hostel with nice staff. I would recommend it. Downsides: Only 2 showers and 3 toilets for 17 guests, but this never proved a problem. TV had rubbish picture and very limited channels. No games or DVDs. There was an old computer but it did not seem for guest use. Liked: Nice (if very small) breakfast. Good free WiFi. Nice owners. Reasonable price (for area). Towel included in price. Bit like a home than a hostel - nice.
I would stay here again as it is cheap & in a great location. The negatives for me: Male showers are not cleaned often and smell BAD! I have travelled SE Asia for 11 months and stayed in some crappy hostels that were dirtier by far, but it really bothered me here and is a major let down for a nice place. 10 bed dorm is roomy but has no fans or AC and the window is tiny and does not open to the outside (just a hallway). In the afternoons and evenings this during summer this makes it a sauna.
A good cheap option on Rapa Nui. Atmosphere was only poor because there was only one other person there apart from me. I would stay here again as Rapa Nui is expensive and this is as cheap as it gets bar camping.
A good all round place. Just needed lockers for bags and free breakfast to be really good.
A nice enough place. Nothing special but fine.
No free WiFi or breakfast. Good location for walks and lake. Bad(ish) location for town. Nice enough place.
An OK place. Free WiFi but limited to 250mb. Basic breakfast - but at least you got one. Location was average but that's because the CBD is still closed so it affects all hostels.
A nice place in a good location. Only let down by: 1: having no free breakfast (though not many in BB had either) 2: the fact anyone could walk right inside during the day without staying there (security at night much better). 3: the lock on our door not working so anyone could get in. 4: No backpack size lockers in the room. Harsh to give it average value - for BB it is quite good, but I felt giving it good value was too generous. That said I would deffo stay there again.
